When you extract all the files from the Dayz X archive, the actual ' @DayZ X ' folder is nested INSIDE the \dayz directory.

Looks like :-

C:\Downloads\DayZ X\@DayzX

You have to put the folder with the @ at the beginning in the \Arma2 directory.

Mine looks like :-

E:\Arma2OA\@DayZ X\addons

Main wep and a pistol. Only exception to this is having a fire axe on your back, then you can carry the main wep in hand, axe on back and pistol in holster.

You CAN carry two weapons, just put the hatchet on your backpack then swap it to the primary and pick up the gun you want, then you can switch between the two rifles as you like.

You cannot pick up the hatchet after though - it wont go on to your belt, just back into the primary slot.

After trying out factions 3.0.2, 2018 and now Dayz X. I have to say it's probably the most playable Dayz single player mod out so far that I've tried.

Since factions and 2018 seems to have that really bad lag after about 10 hours of play. But I haven't experienced it yet in Dayz X. So far about 13-15 hours on Dayz X and non so far.

Though the zombies in this one is quite aggressive. Wider aggro range, and really fast. Also they tend to spawn right after another if you just continue to shoot them with non SD weapons. Zombies don't attack AI's and just stands in front of them, but this happens so far in all the versions I've played.

Sometimes zombie's will come after you from AI's gunshots, so you have 2 times the problems on your hand xD , so most of the time in this game you'll spend running away from Zombies, since they also chase you really far. But of course if you get tired of that, just call in Tank support xD

For Dayz X the AI bandits doesn't spawn in groups, but sometimes it does spawn 2 or 3 in different spots near the same area. In Daizy factions and 2018 there are multiple groups that spawn around Devil's Castle. But for Dayz X, so far I've only seen 2 bandit AI's in my entire playthrough there.

I've actually ran into no zombies and loot spawn 3 times. So I had to restart the game again for the first one. For the timecycle version, it happened 2 times, near the beginning of the game. So I decided not to play that version of Dayz X. Also I think the timecycle version is probably the most buggy? Since I can't add axes or crowbars to my back, and can only equip them when I try to remove them from my toolbox with the option. Also once you do that, you can't equip or switch it to your back, so in timecycle you can't equip 2 rifles. I managed to play it for 3 hours today without zombies disappearing. But there were some weird glitches like opening door option not appearing. So I'd say just go with the original Dayz X and avoid timecycle.

Dayz X is a really good mod. A lot more buildings to scavenged through. I totally recommend it to any new Dayz players. I'm really looking forward to the updates on this one =)

Once Haleks fixes the lag on the other versions, I'll try them again, since I like having a shootout against the bandit groups. But each time I get halfway to fixing the cars from parts I scavenged, the game just starts lagging. Factions and 2018 is still playable, and it really isn't a problem if you don't mind restarting every few hours or so.

Hello folks! I am in desperate need of some help. Recently I have been playing loooooaads of DaiZy, but I have been using one with walking zeds and helicopter patrols. I was wondering if anybody knows how I could go by editing the mod's files to make the zeds walk instead of running. Any help?

Hey man first you need to download "notepad++" the go into the files find, Dayzcode.pbo"<--may not be correct. then select edit with "notepad++" then search tab, find in file- /*%FSM<STATE "Chase">*/ and just lower the value. :)

I found a hatchet. When I took it went to my toolbelt and when i click the add to back. It's not working. I have a primary and secondary weapon. How do i make it work?

This is a really fun mod to play especially the loot spawns and improvement on the maps (additional buildings etc), not forgetting the huge capacity back packs, new vehicles and tons of new weapons added. Looking forward to the new epoch building system and much more.

Above may I suggest if that is possible? (forgive me if this may be repetitive):
- Zombies attacking AI, it would be fun to watch the zombies kill them and take the loot off the corpse.
- Car patrols
- Walking Zed map

Thanks looking forward for an update.

Hi, first of all I would like to congratulate you for the great job you're doing, the mod (I've tried a few) is my favorite.
I'd had introduced the system of construction and crafting of Dayz Epoch (I think that would benefit his gameplay).
Back to why I write, I would point out an annoying problem that I came several times now.
After some time, inoltrandomi allontandando from the coast and in the hinterland of Chernarus, there is the spawn of zombie NPCS, items, my response to play in a totally empty map, without being able to make loot or even find resources for sopravivvere.
I'm playing the mod, with activated the Comunity Based Addon, but even without the problem occurs.
I tried to reinstall the mod several times, but every time I find myself having to will be able to continue, it is annoying.
Thank you again for your work and I hope that my report will further improve this promising mod.

If you're using time acceleration, don't. Disable the - and = key assignments so you don't accidentally bump them. I haven't had any problems with zombies and loot disappearing since I disabled those keys.
