Im happy to see you don't need the tags, but what is the point of the difficulty level if your going to dictate to me at what difficulty i have to be playing. I really liked what you guys were doing, but now I don't. If you took them off because they bothered you then how do they bother you if you don't play the game on recruit???
You taking them off seems a bit personal, why does it bother you that i like to use the tags. What do you care, why ruin someone elses fun. I dont care about multiplayer, i play this game for single player. Anyway, thanks for nothing i guess. I will find another way to make your version have tags.

That's what I'm saying though, I'm not trying to be a dick. I'm just saying that you'd have to get used to playing without them, because it's an ArmA change (probably as of the latest beta patch). Wich is way out of my "territory".

I would never delete something like that just because I don't like, especially when I can just change the difficulty. I'm sorry if I was unclear.

Thank you man, Now i understand what your saying. I can't believe this problem is because of arma, all arma games, missions, all dayz missions (except your version) has the tags enabled on recruit. There has to be something in your code pbo that disables them, i really, really, really think you guys forgot something somewhere because it just happens with your version. Thanks again, im trying out the new files now ...again

The thing is, we do not change to code that way. We either add more scripts and code, or change stuff we know what it is.

It could be a change in 1.7.6, they did remove the perephrial dots recently, that is LIKELY the cause of it.
You can play one of the older versions, though. What caused me to think it was the beta patch was that I play on a 1.7.6 server with nametags.

Just in case anybody out there is going through the same headache, I just read that DayZ (the actual game) removed all "Peripheral Dots" from with 1.7.5 update. That is why i can't get the tags to work. But now i know that the problem is in the DayZ code and has nothing to do with the actual DaiZy mod. I will crack it open to see whats in there.

I'm PRETTY sure the server I was on was patched to 1.7.6.



I'm updating the links, agaaaaaaaaaaaain

This time, it'll have some changes on AI (the new food and weapon(s)). We're closing up on a final release.

EDIT: I will also make a specific loot table for heli crashes, and have it drop weapons only. (Comment if this is something you have a better idea about).

Gosh you guys are working flat out on this. I've yet to get very far in any of my SP games because I keep starting again to get the new changes.

It's admirable that you're keeping up with the changes in the mod, especially since some of the newer features are so cool.

I'm personally on SP alot because I'm waiting for a buddy to sort out his internet connection so we can play online together, and I'm not that interested in playing online without a buddy to talk to (and to watch my back).

Plus it's such an unforgiving game that it's nice to get a chance to get at some of the more extravagant features (like fixing up a heli), which I would probably never live long enough to do in MP.

Still miss the flies sounds on the corpses though. I think that really got under my skin as part of "the sound of DayZ".

As I understand it, you guys took it out because after you've played for a while there are just corpses everywhere. Is there some kind of corpse cleanup script that could be employed instead?

Please bear in mind I'm happy with whatever you do, I don't mean to sound like I'm demanding things of you.

Yes, that's correct. I personally removed it for that reason. There is a script to clean up bodies (the one in the cheat menu). But there's no way of removing flies (AFAIK). This is where server restarts play in.
I will see if I can add a line that removes the flies after 10 minutes or summit.

EDIT: I might be able to add a remove-fly line to the remove bodies. That would make me jizz (sorry for my choice of words).




About the updated links, combat roll also works now. Heli crashes seems fair too, I looted 4, 2 had 2 Bizon SD's, and 2 had SAW's. This means that we'll have heli crash loot at least, but AS50's and other weapons might be a bit more rare since we only got 1 slot, + the loot spawnchances.

Yeah, I'm looking into this as we speak. I had the same problem, I'm currently seeing if I can fix it fast.

Also, thank you so much for providing with feedback, makes it so much easier to make this as good as possible!


Update: I will have to take another look at it after having dinner. I've yet to try the crossbow on multiplayer, so it might be a glitch for the whole patch. But I'll do my best.

That would be sweeeeeet! I keep losing my kills after a gut-wrenching ten minute shootout with the other bandits that are ALWAYS BEHIND ME!!!!!! Plus I just love the sound. Sounds like some shit's just gone down.
