Apparantly you need the old SOW files from the old release, or from Breaking Point. I'll look into this, since I don't need the files or have those character glitches. |
i just fixed it.. Above
i copied the last update addons and replaced it with 3.5 update addons, it worked.. stretched arms aren't there anymore.. i think there is a file on the older update which is missing in 3.5 that's why the character is inversed and arms-stretched. |

Falks, copy the files from the new update into the old folder. That should fix it, at least it did for me.

Sorry for the double post, but I want to report that along with this stretchy character problem, the "spawn items" cheat isn't working very well right now. When I tried to spawn in a toolbox and a map, it gave me some error message and didn't spawn them. I can't figure out why it's not working. Please help.

Yes, we've been arguing about this for 2 ish pages now. :P The thing is that they're not missing, and the missions should not depend on the SOW addons, I don't use them, and don't have the problem. So I don't know why you lot have it. I literally uploaded the exact same files that I'm using, just that I'm using ASR_AI, too. That could be why, though. |

ASR_AI is the only "important" addon I have to recommend. Addons that does break stuff in singleplayers are Support Call, CoWarMod messes up BreakingZero. ACE will mess up the inventory textures abit, because it's using it's own. As for other addons, I would just suggest color/sound addons. I personally use JSRS instead of the BreakingPoint sounds. (Wich is amazing in comparison. |

The character glitch is apparantly because you need the old SOW files. I don't know why this is, it could be because I'm using JSRS and ASR_AI. (Assuming you guys restarted after updating). But either you didn't restart, or JSRS/ASR_AI keeps my game running. About the cheat menu, I made it simpler, so instead of the spawning items script chaining 3 scripts for each item, it's just 1 script. And I messed up on some of the toolbelt items, so that they're spawned as magazines (wich they're not) instead of weapons. I'll have that fixed for the update. Every item in the spawn menu will work. :) |
Thanks for the reassurance that the "spawn items" error will be fixed in the next update, Above. As for the stretchy character glitch, as I am among those that experienced the problem (at its peak too... There was a huge wall of entangled stretchy, deformed limbs covering my screen when I picked up a gun), I will mess around with the files a bit and report back to you if I find another fix or cause of it.

Otherwise you could just add the SOW files, I could upload these if you want me to. So that you don't have to download the whole Breaking Point package. |
That won't be necessary for me, as I have a copy of the older files and have already done so. I was just saying I will look to see if anything else is a factor in the glitch. I am also planning on reporting bugs for you whenever a new update is released if that helps in the games development and make it easier to find ways to fix them (some bugs don't seem to occur in your game). Will this be a help to you or is this not necessary?

Oh, gotcha. Thought you missed my comment, or the other comments about it. I appreciate any feedback etc, there are usually a page or two about the same glitches, though. So unless you really want to, or no one else has posted about the glitch, there's no need. I do however appreciate it, though. Most glitches are glitches that I have aswell. But sometimes, it will be something that works for me, but not for others. I think it's working for me because I use JSRS (another sound addon that is way better). Because when I switched them out, and removed the requirement for the Breaking Point sound addon, I just replaced it with JSRS. I don't remember testing without it. Anyways, I'll find out why the old sound addon is causing graphical glitches. By the way, just a headsup, every update (pretty much) requires a restart. If you don't, stuff like this might occure. It's probably not the case this time, I just figured I should put that in every now and again so that new members knows. |
Just wondering, but roughly what time should the next update be started/released and what features will be implemented in it? Also, how are the Namalsk and Caribou maps coming along?

First of all, I'll explain how my updating works. The changes are all stuff I got inspired to do, found out you could do, or just felt like it should've been done. I don't have a bigger list for more patches than previous and 1 ahead. When will the next update be? I'm not sure, but I'm working with some interesting things, and will be eager to release. What will be in the new update? This is a question no one can reply to better, than the "What to expect in future updates" on the main post. I do have some small goodies that I just updated the main post with, though. Wich are: - Chernarus will be cold (with snow, breath "fog", and storms). - Better loot spots in buildings. (In shelfs and stuff). - The newer food will spawn in "all" buildings, just like 1.8 is meant to be. How's Namalsk and Caribou comming along? Caribou is as good as ready to roll out. Namalsk however, is something I haven't worked with much yet. |

It's very strange . You know why? |

Yup, this seems to happen to people that follows my advice on replacing the old @Breaking*** folder. For the people that have this, it's because we/they/you/he/she does not have the SOW addon, from the old folder. I'll upload these, so that less people have to fight for a sollution. |
Is there any way you can compress your code above? (5 gigs for tavi)
Cheers, BossMann
