Excelent! Just installed and had my first life wasted! I woke up at Cerno outskirt and imedietly run into town when I encountered two survivors one ordinal and one hero like. They shoot zombies like mad so I waited a bit in cover and killed ordinary one after he cleared place from zeds and then hired hero one, looted bit cerno and then betrayed hero and picked his stuff headed to north of cerno where is living blocks with hospital and there my destiny got me. Survivor got me with few shots.

I didn't saw any bugs yet. Just nickpicking: when I teamed hero he still had context menu to join. Will be nice it will replace with split up option to be able to release him from team instead kill him.

I thinking about idea how to proxy zed damage to ai survivors as this two was basically swarmed in swarm of zeds around and shoot. I know AI dosent run stats simulation of dayz health system like player and maybe you can try do this: run little script agent with do loop until alive for each ai survivor and inside check if any zed is within lets say 2m from him for let say 10 seconds. If yes setDamage 1 and kill him. If he manage to kill zeds inside this perimeter then reset timer to 0 so any possible new zed in perimeter can start timer again. I think this can be working proxy to zed do not attack AI survivors as I saw they run towards them into close combat range so well now. Just idea and maybe stupid.

An option to dismiss the survivors from your team should be doable - I'll look into it. Same goes for the "recruit" option : it shouldn't be too hard to have it removed once the AI is in your team - I never spent much time on it, but after a year at modding Arma2/DayZ, I'm pretty sure I can manage to make it work!

As for the "zeds vs AI" matter, something definitely needs to be done; your method is not bad - and I think I could change a few things in the zeds behaviour to make them play the attack animation if they're close to any unit. I'll think about it; this issue has been annoying me more and more lately - it is the last big problem with DaiZy right now. It would be nice indeed to work around it!

Thanks for your hard work. Even without play zed attack anim I think its worth as you will usualy do not notice. You will just see zed or zeds around AI survivor and after while if he miss with gun he fall down. Not bad and add well needed dynamic into sp version. I bet force zed attack anim will break something in ZED behavior :)

But i think the zeds are o hardcore now.

I run electro to Rog castle and they doesn't let me!
I was surprise because they are many steep hill :/

Since adding the 1803 update patch no zeds or loot spawns. What did I do wrong ?

I copied the Dayz 1803 files from dayz/addons to <factionsfolder>/addons, then overwrote those files with the ones from the Factions ZIP.

Added the mission file to the missions folder.

My shortcut is using the beta.

At the main screen I get an error message about a zombieface sqf file in community assets, then another at character select about magazines sqf file.

This is very strange, i've obviously done something wrong somewhere, but what ?

Solved. I just abandoned the old folder and created a new one. Maybe there was some legacy stuff left over in the old folder from a previous Factions release ?

Playing it made me realize how dull vanilla Dayz is compared to Overwatch.

Will there be any additional files to download adding a more interesting loot table with rmod guns instead of the rubbish that Dayz uses ?

Also the Overwatch map is way better than the Arma 2 map.

Hi Halecks,

Just downloaded and installed. I am really rusty because I tend to miss with the hatchet a lot. Other than that it is rather difficult with vanilla loot tables (not so much food) but it is a good thing.

The Zombies definitively will chase you longer. A couple of times I put trees and bushes between me and them to break their sight and this slowed them down but they kept chasing, it is rather nice.

Hi guys!

Just a quick word to say that I'm uploading a new mission file : the random tents script has been slighlty improved. The NPC guard will be sitting down until he sees an hostile; and the loot will spawn in the tent, rather than in a nearby weapon box (I don't know why I did that in the fisrt place...).

EDIT : Done!

@OTUV31 :
In the first versions of Factions 2.7 the zeds were even worse : they were impossible to shake off.
I did what I could to balance things without breaking them; but I might try a few other tricks later.

Yes it's true that it's better than the vanilla.

Only if you've a weapon for kill him.
The only problem it's when you're spawn, if you're purchased, you can't loose it ^^'

After that, i don't see any bug for now.
