Hi Haleks. First, thank you for the fantastic release. But I have a question: You will continue developing @ 2018 for Arma 2? Can we expect new upgrades (for ArmA2), as construction module etc?

I'm sorry to say that, but probably not any time soon.

My projects on Arma3 will certainly keep me busy for a while; and having been working on it for some time, it would be tedious to go back on Arma2 : it is much more comfortable (and faster) to work with the new tools.

If there's an update for 2018, it would be final and all about fixing the last issues (like the ambient music being glitchy or editing a few functions to run faster); since we have a stable release, I'd rather not take the risk to introduce new bugs that could come along with new scripts/modules.

Hey Haleks, first off, thanks for the great mod and continued success!    My question is,  after playing for a while, like a few hours on one save, i notice that the game begins to really slow down.  Not in FPS slow down, but in things taking a while to spawn, could this be because of me using Loki Lost Key periodically?  I noticed the same thing on another DaiZy mod i played.

P.S. Been running around with my AI homies up north and STILL have not found a "Ghoul"... Very dissapointed! :D

Unfortunately, this is how dayZ has been coded : the engine has to process more and more threads as you wander and trigger loot & zed spawns - the amount of AI also goes up, wich always has an impact on performances.

This is a SP port of a MP mod wich was never designed to be run continuously, so there's limits to what can be done to optimize things.

And don't worry, you'll find a ghoul eventually. Or it'll find ya. ;)

I hate to respawn in a heli, i dead all the time or my blood is very very low, when i finally see a bandits he shoot me just one shoot and kill me, not in head, in me arm, i dead for the blood we i lost to go to earth

How i can change respawn?

reappear on earth, in some cities or close to cities

I've been testing several daizy mod of these forums and I have to say this is the best and most immersive.
  I use this:
    - Mod files.
   -cowarmod "customized" just with recommended files. Recommended list.
   - Jsrs1.5.
   - Chernarus buildings opened 1.2 and retextured.
   -cba_co
   -IVD

Hello Guy´s,

firts off, i love this mod. It´s one of my favourites right now. The only thing i´m unhappy with it is this "Zombies spawn in forest" thing...It is annoying because you have no chance to build a base where you can be "save". It also is concerning to me that this zombies in forest spawning "out of thin air" its not what i want. So my simple question is how can i prevent Zombies from spawning in Forests. Is there a line of script i can ad somewhere? Thanks for any help on this issue. And sorry for my poor english...it´s not my native language...
And thanks to Haleks for this really well done Mod.

If you're familiar with editing addon files, you'll need to look for the following file :
dayz_code\Configs\CfgLoot>>CfgBuildingLoot.hpp

Scroll to the bottom and remove/comment this part :

Hi Haleks,

thanks for your advice. I found the requested line in the code. The parameter ZombieChance is at 0.4 in the Original. Just asking if i set it to 0.0 there are no more Zombies in the Forest? Or is it better to delete this whole thing as you mentioned?

Whenever I pick the @2018 mission, and load it up; it shows an error MSG, and this is what it says: You cannot play/edit this mission; it has Downloadable Content that has deleted.

NOTE: I have done what you have said to do if i get an error MSG, and I have deleted all the files from the @2018 file I have created, and did it all over again.

Could someone please, help me?

Also, Haleks, you are an amazing person for creating the SP mode for DayZ, and I wan't to thank you for what you have done. I can now enjoy an almost, lag free DayZ. :)

Something must be wrong with your shortcut parameters, you're not launching the mod at all.
Could you copy/paste your shortcut target line? A screenshot of the install folder would help too.

Nvm, I was being an Idiot. I have to launch it with the Beta Patch, but I do not have it in my folder. And, if it helps, on Steam, my Arma: 2 OA Beta is apparently Obsolete, and I don't know how to fix it. I have gone through multiple forums trying to find out how.

Doesn't Steam automatically installs the latest beta patch?

Anyway, you can find a link to a beta patch in the first post - it's not the most recent one, but it works with DayZ1.8.0.3/DaiZy2018. You can try to manually install it and see if it fixes your problem.

Yeah, It is supposed to auto-update, but I don't know whats wrong with it. I was playing DayZ one day, starting it up using Arma OA Beta, and when I got on one day instead of the regular Arma: 2 OA Beta it said:
 Arma: 2 OA Beta (Obsolete) I tried running it, and it said: Bad serial number given in setup. After a while of searching on forums, I just un-installed it, and tried re-installing it, after downloading it still said:  Arma: 2 OA Beta. I don't know what to do with it.


The thing I am having problems with is that in my OA folder, it doesn't have the Arma: 2 OA Beta Patch file that I am supposed to change the Target, with, and run the modded version.
