Is their anyway I can get into the root files to change the food/animal spawn rates? I played for a few hours to remove any possible errors and yet could not find much in the ways of animal or food/drink. I got a can of pepsi and that was it. Checked everything on the coast, cycled loot, the whole nine yards and I ended up dying in the market on the southwest edge of cherno from lack of food and water (I know I can drink from ponds, but it became so hard to see I couldn't move anywhere).
I love the mod and all the work you did, I just wish the loot for surviving was more like 1.7.0.1. Any help is appreciated, keep up the good work (I live on a farm, internet is almost non-existent). |

Dear haleks. This mod has to be the best I've played in a long time, but I find that I can't find any recruitable AI you speak of. Sure plenty of bandits but no heroes. Upon looking at your trigger net (I like to call it spawn net) I find no triggers that run dosomething heroes or execVM recruitAI just dosomethingbandits or dosomething survivor. Don't say that survivors are recruitable because they are just less well equipped bandits. So could you tell us where these recruitable AI are. I also went looking for towns and stuff. I found this place called crash town hostile of course I was wondering what that's about. PS sorry for busting open your mission to look at the spawn net.

I'll look into it, but that message was directed at haleks to get a straight answer. Thanks Edit-------- Spawns are particular to where you spawn and where you are as I said in a earlier post about the spawn net, so If I go to stary I might not find any one. |

No, there'is no friendly settlements. And the "DoSomething_Survivor" triggers do spawn recruitable survivors; however those survivors can be hostile if you previously killed friendlies (just like vanilla Arma) - check your statistics on your map menu to make sure you didn't.
The only way to gain reputation again is to kill some hostiles. Not sure about the values, but if you kill a survivor, you'll have to shoot something like ten bandits to regain their trust. @Rickfist : You can use the command menu to order someone to pick up a weapon. Just select him and press '6' : the menu is contextual and its entries depends on what items are around you. |

Haleks what are your plans for the next update (if there is one). Also how do you recruit or even tell the difference between survivor and bandit. i use command recticle to scan the horizon, would that work?

Haha, not too far man. ^^ I've been extra busy lately, there's a lot of changes incoming in Arma3 and it's hard to keep up with BIS. I've also spent a lot of time tracking bugs and optimizing everything - I'm quite satisfied with the results right now. I'll begin the preps for the release soon! ;) |

Hi, I felt like playing Daizy Chernarus for the good old vibes, but Factions did not work, then I downloaded 2018 and it is full of script errors... hasn't there been some ArmA 2 updates? Mission starts with a long intro, plane crashes into the sea... then I swim and see Elektro from a bit too far...
Command line (btw., the -init is interesting, you can immediately have ArmA load a mission): "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead\Expansion\beta\ARMA2OA.exe" "-mod=c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\arma 2;EXPANSION;ca;Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion;BAF;PMC;ACR;@CBA_CO;@LandTex;@JSRS;@JSRS_ACR;@2018;@st_bunnyhop;@st_map_auto_brightness;@sthud;@mapPlus;@tao_foldmap;@fullnvgoggles;@ASR_AI;@TPWCAS;@KRON_SupportCall;@mycontrolmenu" -nosplash -nologs -skipIntro -cpuCount=4 -exThreads=7 -showScriptErrors -init=playMission["","Daizy\2018.chernarus"] EDIT! Now I only left BAF;PMC;ACR;@CBA_CO;@LandTex as mods, and still it drops script errors every 0.25 seconds or so. EDIT2: O>!M!!G. Tried DayZ Factions Podagorks, also full of script errors. Do you devs play with -showScriptErrors? I dodn't before. Maybe the script errors were always present? |

What kind of errors?
I haven't played Arma 2 in a long time, but I would be surprised if the updates would break 2018. I 'll try to give it a look when I have time (I have so much things to do these days T_T). EDIT : The game showing script errors doesn't mean it's broken - since this is ported over MP for SP, I guess a few errors would be expected. Maybe you should remove "-showScriptErrors" from your shortcut and see if everything plays right? |

It's not working at all. Plane crashes in the sea at startup, you get unconscious all the time when swimming to Elektro or Cherno (not sure). http://abload.de/img/2014-07-15_0000126ojs.jpg

Maybe its because I put it on top of current DayZ, which is 1.8.1alpha (came from SIX)?

There are so many undefined variables, also in the DayZ itself.
There is something seriously wrong. At startup usually I see a hint which talks about an active script. Now it says "any active". ArmA displays "any", if variables are not defined. |
