So Haleks i need to know, is it possible to manually add the self blood bag script? i'm a daizy fanatic and I've followed a lot of your releases, but I've never been about scripting, i'm starting to get into it but i need to know if i can add this script: http://opendayz.net/threads/krixes-self-bloodbag-script.12288/ Into this 2018 Release... :)

by the way LOVE the intro :D it's pretty sweet.. :P

It is possible, eventhough it's a bit more complex to do in daizy. But it's not worth it : there's no bloodbags in 2018 :P

yes, yes i know.. the whole no blood blood bags in the future.. i get it, and i love how you did that.. it's just sometimes there's only so many bullet holes a piece of steak will fix ;) so the peaked my curiosity a bit more.. so it is possible to add in scripts like that? such as helicopter lifting.. and safe zones such.. cause this is the perfect mod to try my hand at scripting..

another thing do you know any good mods/addons i could use to spawn items and vehicles? after playing for quite some time KRON's airdrop mod decided to bug out and wont let me spawn anything.

As CommuneCode said, Loki would be the way to go.

As for adding more scripts, yes, it is totally possible - some people here have been customizing it. Beware though, DaiZy is quite demanding overtime, so don't add too much at a time; you should also know that some dayz files are duplicated inside the mission file (rather than in the addon files), so don't forget that you might need to edit those if your modifications don't work.

Thanks heleks for all the information! I'll try installing a simple script later and see if I'm not completely useless :p

And I can't seem to get lokis key working. I'm not quie sure what's up with that addons. Still just hard to test stuff without cheats. :p

This is a challenging mod! 20+ hours of play (with the walking zed mod) and I was finally able to locate, rescue, and recruit all 3 of the NPC friendlies on the map.

1. The old man in the hut on the SW end of Skalisty Island.
2. The survivor with the CZ shooting up Zeds near Olsha
3. The captive in Ghoul Town NW of the NW Airfield.

The ghouls take forever to kill but they have a mostly-repaired HUMMV that you can drive off in.

Did I miss any Friendlies?

Yep ^^.
The guy you found at Olsha was a random spawn, there are a few of those spawns (ten? Maybe less). There's also another captive in another (and much bigger) bandit camp.

Haleks! You are a tricky guy! Are you telling me there is a much bigger camp than:

1. the big one with the fixer-upper C130 at Klen (I totally avoided that one - very dangerous)
2. The one I assumed was "Ghoul Town"  NW of the NW airfield (that's where I managed to free the captive and stole the HUMMV)

I also really liked the tent camp with the 3 bandits around the camp fire by the castle. Totally stumbled onto them.

I was speaking about the C130 camp ;)
Just for info, the tent camps are also random. Anyway glad you enjoy it!

Imagine my surprise when an Mi-8 went flying by! A bit startling in the 2018 world of depleted foodstuff, rusty ar15s, and beat up vehicles. I'm guessing the patrolling Heli is unfriendly? There's no way I'm stupid enough to shoot at it!

Is it based somewhere or is it a random aerial spawn? If it's based somewhere I sure would like to raid them when they are on the ground. Unfortunately the Mi-8 at Skalisty is so beat up that even if you find fuel for it it leaks like a sieve. It would take weeks to find enough supplies to fix it up.

The chopper is a unique aerial spawn : it will mostly patrol the coast (and no, it's not friendly^^). Sadly I didn't set up a base for it (but I might write such a script soon); the chopper has infinite fuel and won't land unless you manage to damage it.

As for the skalisty chopper, there's a boat not far - it would be the best option to quickly bring the materials to fix it. But yeah, those materials can take some time to find (it shouldn't take weeks though)! ;)

Just started fresh 1.5 game. Intense firefight in cerno where I crashed with AN-2, looted whole cerno and except matches I have all to set base at elector (found tent). So far so good. Encounter with three bandits was spectacular. With some minor wounds I managed to take em down.

1.5 looks like big improvement, zeds and loot spawn ok in cerno. Lets see what will happen during my way to elektro. I looking forward to see fixed tent self actions.

Playing on veteran without any helpers and with forced first person view. Man I feel scary as first day I ever played dayz! Completely different from PVP "arena" of online mod.

Just idea, what about implement house patrol for some bandits survivors so they looks like they loot buildings? Also will be pretty scary to meet em in house.

You need to merge the Arma2 & Operation Arrowhead contents. The simplest way is to copy the Addons folder from the Arma2 directory, and paste it in the OA directory. Hopefully it will solve both errors.

@Ataribaby : Thanks man! As for your suggestion, I'll probably test it on another project and see if I can come up with something solid. ;)

Yeah, the building in the second picture has its spawn positions set wrong - it is rather tedious to fix so I focus on fixing more important things for now.

About your inventory issue : I guess you're playing with CoWar mod? A couple of its addons modify the gear menu. I suggest you take some time to read the documentation provided with it : all addons aren't usefull/working for DaiZy. You can check the list of recommended addons in the first post. ;)
