Hey Haleks,

Fantastic mod, great work on the intro. Just wondering if you will be increasing the list of weapons. I know in breaking point mod there was a huge range of weapons, just made the game a bit more interesting as I wasnt likely to find the same weapons over and over again.

I don't think those variables are used anymore : I'm using a customized dayz code wich includes some scripts from different versions. The respawn delays will be fixed in an upcoming update, but if you wanna do it yourself in 2018, you'll have to edit the playerSpawnCheck file in the "compiles" folder of the dayz_code.
Look for this kind of line :
if (_age > 5) then ...
and change those values (in minutes).

By the way, you guys will be happy to learn that script delays when repairing/refueling vehicles are 100% fixed! Same for the tents - I still have to check how it goes when interacting with fuel tanks.
mmh It seems it doesn't work in all the towns.
In a very small town it sworks, but I played last night in a medium town and zombies respawn very very quickly (after you kill all of them, you turn your head and you see other zombies .... lol) it is not very immersive

I don't think we can do much about that in the big cities : zombies are spawned in a small area around the player. Meaning that all buildings in town won't spawn zeds at the same time; as you move, new zeds are being spawned, new buildings are being tagged.
What values have you tried?

@FrashMeat : ain't the female skin available via the radio support menu?

@Brownytime : I'm not planning on doing that at the moment. :(

In french because it is too difficult to me to explain this in englsih lol:
comment ça marche en fait, ça veut dire que le delais de respawn ne marche que si on reste dans la zone concerné ? si on s'en ecarte et qu'on revient, le delais de respawn revient à zero ?
Parceque j'ai eu l'impression que le jeu retenais le delais de respawn d'une zone meme si on s'en ecartait, en tout cas pour les tout tout petits "village", où il y a trois ou quatre batiments.

Non non, pas besoin de rester dans la zone. Ce que je voulais dire, c'est que le temps de nettoyer toute une ville, il est tout-à-fait possible que tu te retrouves à proximité d'un bâtiment taggé 20 minutes avant. Ce bâtiment pouvait très bien se trouver juste à la limite de la zone de spawn (zone dont tu es le centre), mais à la fin du délai, rien n'empêche que tu sois à proximité dudit bâtiment lorsqu'il se remet à spawner des zeds.
Résultat : tu as l'impression que les zombies respawnent aussi sec dans une zone que tu viens pourtant de nettoyer... C'est franchement pas le meilleur système, mais comme il n'a jamais été retravaillé sur le principe...

Essaie carrément avec une heure de délai, tu devrais voir une bonne différence. Si c'est pas le cas, c'est peut-être une paire de scripts à la bourre et qui mettent trop de temps entre le moment où ta position est relevée et celui où les zeds poppent.

Ok , I will try with 60 minutes and tell you how it works.
And it was not a big town, more a village (15 buildings) and zombies seems to rewspawn in less than 5 minutes.

So I tried with 60 minutes, nothing changed. The zeds seems to pop continualy. I kill some zeds I walk 20 meters, I turn my head, some news zeds are here.....
it seems to be impossibe to clean up a small town. So I can not come on a small town with a survivor or he will be kill for sure. And weapons are useless if the zeds respaswn without buffer. So I only use my axe.

But it works on very very small town (4 or 5 buildings).

Hey hal, quick question buddy. I installed properly and can play factions but not this I never spawn I just get the death screen. I tried running without SMK or COSLX just to be sure it wasent those.

is there a possibility to download some kind of "cheat" like loki's key etc etc. to get a military squad?

i like to "play" the possibility of being a military squad that survived the zombie apocalypse and are cleaning cities from zombies etc. kinda like roleplay...

so i was just wondering if there is someway to get a 3-4 teammembers that are recruitable

I'd say Loki's is the best way to go. I can think of a couple other addons but they're for MP rather than SP.
The only issue is that they'll be vanilla AI : they won't draw zombies when firing, and can't be killed by them. They will however shoot at zombies.

I was working on such a mission involving some kinda post-apo and yet well equipped soldiers with several objectives to complete (and a badass halo insertion)... Unfortunately I lost all my Arma 2 projects a few weeks ago! T_T

As for the other question : you won't find any survivors down the coast; you'll have to go inland, look in small villages & towns. Just watch out who you shoot at! ;)

im using loki's key for an "alternative" game start (halo jump)

but i cant seem to find where on loki's key you can spawn recruitable AI's ... you know which? all i find is "work-allied groups-spawn friendly group 1 " is there any other way?

ok, ill try to go inland more... and dw.. i have a rule - dont shoot unless shot at... same for dayz :P

Loving this so far, feels like a proper survival mod.
Was wondering, could someone message me with the locations of every camp/survivor on the map?
I want to go on a sort of tourist trip around to the different interactions with other survivors.

Hi Talla! And thanks for the kind words!

I'm not sure how the script works, but my guess is that it will only affect already spawned units. You should know that it won't affect bandit squad, since those are INDEP units.

By the way, I don't had time to fix everything I wanted for the 1.5 update, but I think I'll release it next week anyway.
