Hey Haleks,
A couple of minor suggestions I just thought of... Maybe start the in-game clock around mid-afternoon for new games. That way, players can get used to the sepia color scheme when they first begin, and it'll give them a couple of hours to plan their night time experience (i.e. to turn off sepia, or to roll with it and use flashlight/remington/chemlights/flares or whatever). It might invite more players to experience the game the way you intended it. (I love the sepia btw). Also, and I touched on this before, maybe you could rename all the empty soda cans and empty tin cans to have unique names (i.e. "Empty Tin Can - Stew", "Empty Tin Can - Peas", "Empty Soda Can - Pepsi" etc) just as an experiment. I don't know if I'm the only one who loot farms an area to find the right gear, but moving trash items around accounts for a lot of activity, and there's still that weird inventory auto-sorting that refreshes your gear list each time you pickup or drop an item, and when you have identically named items in your inventory, it seems to re-sort items and move things around which causes problems with selection. Or just have one type of empty tin can and one type of empty soda can like the original mod had. That might fix it too. Just a thought. |

v1.3, updated changelog!
I'll run the last tests tonight and will probably release it tomorrow. @Steve Zissou : I might just do that! Not to mention that the old models for tin cans have a more worn out/rusty texture. But I'll probably keep that aside for another update : I have a feeling that it'll be tedious to keep a balanced loot table. |
I noticed that trap does not work

Found an Mi-17 at the NWAF with all red stats, but won't let me repair it.
Ah well. It'd only get shot up by bandits I suppose. |
Haleks,
A suggestion to balance the game a little bit (since food is scarce and blood bags do not exist); would that be possible to recover a small amount of blood lost every time you sleep into your tent? Cheers, Anubis |

Are you sure? Because I noticed the more you save & reload, the slower are the self_actions. I have to wait a few seconds before the repair menu does pop up. |
Im not sure if I waited long enough (maybe 30 sec) but I as well found a chopper on the island and couldn't repair it. No big deal though for me

The repair option displays, but then it doesn't list anything to repair, as if it thinks it's fully repaired. I did leave it for quite a while (20-30 secs) to see if anything came up, but nothing did. It's no biggie. |

The vehicle repair/refuel action is so much more responsive now. Just finished repairing a pickup in Cherno. Stats went from all red to all green. Sweet. Now to find a Ural... EDIT: Twice now, the color filter has turned itself off right after killing a bandit. It went from sepia to green. Not to worry though. EDIT 2: Actually, even after I turned the color filter back on, it turned itself off after 20 seconds or so. Now it just stays off. Hmm...not sure if that was triggered by killing a bandit. Ah well. Will play with blue skies for a while. EDIT 3: Color filter seems to be working ok now. It took a few attempts at getting it to stay on, that's all. EDIT 4: Still a minor issue with some jerry cans not always refilling. It may be that the graphic (and object attribute) is set to empty when attempting to refuel a vehicle that is already full. Not sure. Or if you have one full and one empty jerry can in your inventory when trying to refill the empty one. Really not sure what combination makes this happen. |

Hello Haleks,
Zeds & loot stop spawning after some time. Usually when I go to another city. Only bandits spawning. I've played all versions v1.0 (2014-01-25) v1.2 (2014-01-31) v1.3 (2014-02-05) Installed correctly . Please, what could be the problem. |

Looks great man! I have been playing several days now on the same game and re spawns are working great both in loot and bandits. I was also able to repair the helo :) A few things though if you get the chance: Can you increase the chances for survivors to spawn. I have been all over that island several times a day and have yet to find a survivor. It may be just my bad luck lol... Also I was wondering if you knew the file that controls the Map display to see targets and my team on the map. I know you have mentioned that this was a dayz change with a recent update. I can edit my own file if you happen to know what one it is? This last release you have accomplished is GREAT!

I've personally never had issues with loot or zombies, on 2018 or Standard DayZ Factions. Also, even though I never have coded an ArmA II mission, I realize the pain it must be to have to try to code to emulate a server for an online-focused mod. Still excellent work Haleks! :D
EDIT: Also, I'm not sure if this is the case or not, but maybe the people having issues with loot and zombies are having those issues because they are not using the Beta?

Nope. I have had so far no problems in 2018, but in Factions from time to time I have experienced fast hunger/thirst and loot not generating anymore. To solve the loot issue. just travel always with a tent and rest from time to time to clean-up. Anubis |
Haleks,
Is that correct that in 2018 all bandits are masked? I have killed a few and all of them are masked. Survivors on the other hand are hard to find... So far I have not found any! I saw in Zelenogorsk someone swamped by Zombies, he died. When I looked at him I saw he had no mask, but I couldn't tell he was a survivor or bandit for sure. 2018 is really well balanced. You have to hunt because meat is the best way to recover blood without blood bags. Anubis |
If you hover your reticule over the body (and mousewheel the action menu), it should say whether they are a bandit, ghoul or survivor next to the reticule. Also, I noticed when you check dead zombies for gear, it says what kind of zombie they are in the top left corner of the inventory screen. Not sure if it does that for dead AI too. I'll check... |
