Would it be possible to make a version of 2018 with the loots script from factions. i love the atmosphere, color scheme and opening to 2018 i just find the loot a little to hardcore for me. Still a no go on the loot and zombies re spawning in factions.

I used to think the same, especially without blood bags because you depend only on food to re-gen, but it is just a matter to adapt: 1. If you are in a town, go to sleep into your tent, that will force the loot to be re-spawned and you will be able to find what you need. It is borderline cheating, even if you get the same by leaving the town and coming back 2. Go hunting for food and use canteens for water. That's what I am doing now and I have 5 canteens and lots of meat. You do not need anything more to survive. Anubis |

The Zombies attacking the AI changes a lot the game. Especially in towns, if I see or hear bandits firing I go to some sniping points but often the Zombies do the work for me. I did a long tour: Elektro-Kamyshovo-Three Valleys-Orvolets-Berezino-Klen-Krasnostav-NEAF-Guba-Berezino, saw many bandits (especially squads) but never a survivor. Those are really hard to find, or are killed by other bandits/Zombies before I see them. Still haven't found Ghoul town! Anubis |

I guess i can see that , i never really worried about blood bags because food helps. I just really want a base building mechanic to hoard stuff.

Updated (and probably final) changelog for 2018 v1.4 :
Replaced unfixable V3S models. Spawned patrol helis are now fixable. Changed selfActions call method to be more responsive. Minor fixes to the dayz_code (less RPT error spam). Replaced all dead bodies on the map by junk piles. Changes to the loot tables regarding ammo spawn chances. Added FN FAL to some bandits loadout & helicrash loot. Removed SVD Camo from helicrash loot. Fixed ToneMapping not working after resuming a save. Added a new survivor town as well as a new special NPC to recruit. Fixed an issue where too many bandits could spawn at NWAF. Fixed an issue with filling jerry cans. Fixed : All M16 variants now compatible with Taped Stanag mags. Recruitable survivors will patrol the nearest town to their spawn position. (Should make them easier to find). New : ejecting from a chopper or a plane will trigger a halo jump. |
Ce qui m'aurais plus, c'est un esprit "mad max" avec des petits camps retranchés avec les réserves d'essence de chernarus..et que les citerne que l'on croise soit vides.. après tout en 2018 les ressources se font rares et l'essence ne coure pas les rues.

Played 2018 for a solid 4 hours and didnt see any bugs whatsoever, other than extremely sensitive zombies.
Couple suggestions the building system, i know your working on it now would love a walking zeds mission file, make it a bit easier for us causal players maybe just make them a tad slower, hit harder, or more frequent. other than that awesome mod so far love both this and factions but i think im starting to like the hardcore part of this a bit more than factions. |

I'm new to DayZ (and DaiZy) and I wonder, how can I 'spawn'? When I die, I always have to restart from the plane and crash somewhere. ITT people can spawn in Elektro. Since my 3rd death, I started to use the Support Call mod to spawn weapons and meds without me being forced to use my sound-barrier-breaking shotgun. Also, I haven't met any NPCs, not even helicopters or patrolling bandits, just a lot of zombies which is getting pretty boring (but still fun). Using the support call mod, I found out that there are 4 (west) friendlies on the whole map. No (east), (guerilla), and (civ). Thanks again for the mod. Love it! |

Never mind on that, i was able to modify the .pbo file myself :). Something that might be cool for future releases is a more functional journal. Maybe that updates every time you kill something or switch guns on the main page part.

I am about 20 hours in now and had a few more suggestion so just ignore my previous for this wonderfully long list.
- a mission structure where if you enable the power at the various communication towers you are able to call in 1 air drop of something random. - possible could add to the story that you are a scientist or something making a fly over the island before your plane goes down and need to reestablish contact for something. - Possibly two classes of zombies, the ones who walk, and the crawling ones which can keep their normal speed while the others are slower walking zeds version (not that big of deal i know how to edit it myself but didnt know if there were other requests for it.) -Maybe put more random items on zombies to loot after they are killed -Possibly a harder core mode where you can only save at your base/tent making it more realistic. -Epoch building script or Daiymos - maybe crates or gun racks to store ammo or guns -more functional journal that displays specific kills, hours spent in game, or special areas visited -the ability to harvest food from plants, like the pumpkin patches in certain areas General issues - having a hard time finding wildlife. In my playthrough so far i have encountered 1 cow, 1 chicken, no goats, and a ton of those stupid rabbits that are incredibly hard to ax to death or shoot. Just didn't know if the spawn county could be higher. - what exactly does the etool do when the command create stash is used? nothing ever happens. - Possibly disable the team switch mode, you can see the map from there without having one ( T key i believe) Other than that i love this release, i am having a load of fun with it. Get better and let me know if there is anything else you need from me. |

Feel better, I sent it over this website, not sure how that works. I was basically offering my assistance. I code a little but i am better at creating objects and animation so if you needed more open houses or building i could help with that.

What I have found is the wildlife spawns almost always in certain places, which are re-populated over and over, and almost never elsewhere! For example: 1. Near Elektro you can find almost always cows/goats in the fields immediately North of the town. 2. In Cherno and Elektro (I mean in the town) I have almost always found chickens 3. In front of the lighthouse between Cherno and Elektro again there are always goats and cows: sometimes as many as 2-3 at the same time! Where are you now? You have to identify a place where wildlife spawns and go there periodically to replenish your reserves - and forget rabbits ,-) Hope this will help, Anubis |
Im farther inland by Gorka and the black forest, i put my camp on top of a mountain between two towns to make runs. I guess ill have to venture further to find livestock.

Try the two fields E and W of the road connecting Gorka to the Black Forest or move E and explore the area N-NE of Polana. Beware of bandits near Polana (I have always found them around).

Tried the fields. Took a nice 3 hour trek around the surrounding area and found literally no livestock besides to rabbits i was able to kill.

My 2 places to go for livestock are the NE airfield (field across from hangers) and the best place is Skalisty Island in the spot the Helo spawns. If you dont see any wildlife at first pitch a tent and sleep for a few hours and when you awake you should see a few cows/goats.
