I am having fun on my current life so I just wanted to make sure it was stable before updating. I'll keep an eye out.

I keep receiving a "Bad Vehicle Type" pop up after the character selection screen. Any idea on how I could correct this? |

That's exactly how I feel. I am looking into getting around the problem with databases but no luck yet. |

This has been answered quite a few time. This is a note that came with BreakingPoint mod itself, it has no effect at all on anything at all. |
OK no problem Thank you for taking the time to assist me.

Hey Ray (or anyone),
Do you know where we might be able to get the server-side code for DayZ? I'm looking for the MySQL stuff that handles saving to the server's database. I know it lives on the ftp sites you get access to when you pay to host a server, I was wondering if anyone knew of a place to get that code without paying a server company for hosting space. Maybe there's a way to set up a server from a local machine (I was thinking I'd use my second PC, or even just the machine I play on) such that instead of contacting the dayZ hive, it just saves the data locally. I know a lot of people are ambivalent about DayZ as a co-op game, but I think it would make this mod complete if I could bring friends in and play together. In my mind that would give me the DayZ I want to play. Edit: I found this just now. This seems to have what I need. Now the enormous task of figuring the stuff out. |

Hey, just wondering, are the vehicle spawns broken? I have looked over the Cherno at all the multiplayer spawns + more, and have found 0 vehicles. I've had to spawn in a humvee just to get around. Any ideas?

Well, I reinstalled, and it's fixed now, even though I still can't find any heli's. Whatever. But now, whenever I build an item (Such as a sandbag wall or fence), I cannot delete it. Once it's there, it's always there. I tried the scroll wheel, and I don't have any option. No red text as said before. I'm starting to have a bit of doubts about this because of the bugs. It's a great mod, but I am getting one error after another.

The vehicles aren't broken. They have a spawnchance as you do in MP, so it's a coincidence if you can't find any cars in cherno, and if you don't find any helis, either. Its on how lucky you get. And I quess you should post the Building removal bug in the forums that actually made the building system. This mission is just using it, which means that the error you're experiencing came from they're end. |
Ok, thanks. I was just figuring that they were spawned in right away as he said in a previous comment, and not on set spawns with chance. One more thing with this- How does the chance rate... work I guess. Do I need to quit and load up again to have the chance again with the spawns, or is it every hour or so it has the % chance to spawn? I'm a bit clueless. I'll probably make a post on that, then, I need to take away a sandbag. I made my base at the barracks in Balota, and I'm currently using the broken house next to the deer stand to drive my humvee through. It's surprisingly effective, but a bit hard to do without a wheel being messed up. Thanks again anyhow, my base will benefit. |
The vehicle spawn chances are generated on first time you run your mission. So if you restart it, the vehicles will respawn by chance again, They won't respawn any time after the mission start. |

But if I restart it, don't I lose everything I have? I have a little too much to lose now, haha. |
You do, thats the whole point of random vehicles. If you play the game legit then you find them at random spawns, if not then just spawn some crap. |

No need to hurry, the current release is stable enough to enjoy the gameplay fairly good. |

I hope they're health will somehow get buffed haha, 1-shotting them even with a pistol is uh.. Let's say a bit too easy. You should fight for survival, although there is the weather system, screaming zombies the AI should be something more powerful. With the new spawning, they're not very common, but if you see one walking all it takes is 1 shot and it's all done. Giving them more health would turn that aspect around and the AI will be feared for centuries. |
