In about 3-4 min Im running on empty both food & Water... I do think you are correct and feel its something to do with framerate. Going back to do some testing

I got the same (running quickly out of food and drink) twice.

When it happens, simply save the game, shut down Arma2 and restart, then it works fine. Looks like some kind of random glitch.

They are just tough to find... Check out the north airfields if all else fails... Its a long run but worth the trip :)

No most are the same but many are 15% chance of a spawn.

There're also random. They spawn differently each time you start the mission; meaning that sometimes you can find plenty of them down south, sometimes you would have to wander a bit North to get one...

Otherwise, it's pretty much the same spawns as MP, plus a lot of custom ones.

If it's the vehicles, and if you're using my spawns. I put cars to around 20% (wich is enough despiting how many there are) and 10-20% on aircraft. There are always 20 ich cars on the map, and AT LEAST 3 helis/planes.

Yeah I didn't change anything; I think it's well balanced - and the randomness adds a lot to SP ;)

I'll (maybe, probably not) add a code where it only let's 1 car/heli/plane/boat spawn each x metres.

It would be a bit cooler to have all vehicles more scattered. But I doub't it'll be worth it.

One more thing; when I first played this there was loot, but it doesn't seem to be spawning anymore. Gonna try and download the mod again and see if that helps.

The loot may take more time to spawn (compared to  MP) since your computer has to handle everything, including server-side calculations. I usually wander around for a few minutes and eventually the loot will spawn.

Well, the easiest method would be to use cheats to change your skin to any OA/ArmA2 skin which DayZ dosen't use. The zombies can still spot you if you run and shit, but they won't hear you if you shoot.

Look for the following series of addons : ASR (it has the rearming feature for AI), SLX & Zeu.
Each of those series includes some pbo wich handle the AI behaviour ;)

That's odd; in my experience this usually means that you're using an outdated Beta patch. But the fact that you were able to launch it the first time quite confuses me... :/
