Scratch what I  said earlier; I just reloaded a save on the mission without the respawn script, and my thirst indicator just went down a bit. So I guess it's working after all ;)
Dunno about the respawn mission though.

Reloading is in no way connected to the respawn script. I can't see why this would be. I noticed on 1.7.5.1 that the UI would stop working every now and then, though. I think THAT is related to the beta patch.

The UI not working on respawn, though. Is most likely related to you spawning as an AI. You can easily change the script to spawn you as a player. I just haven't gotten around to actually doing it, or testing it.

Above, any ideas why I cannot extract the mission and modified dayz code and anim .pbo files?  I need to edit the loot table but Idk if you locked them  or a problem on  my end

(Tried to put a screenshot but wouldnt work ..did before ahh well )

3 of us did several tests and all came up that after a save UI did'nt work..
if you save and then come back to the save after RESARTING your computer then the save works (UI works)
If you save and then come back to the save WITHOUT restarting computer then it doesnt work    (UI doesnt work)
All tests we did was making sure UI worked FIRST by waiting for drink to reduce a bit then save game .....run abit .......then revert back to the save and run 3km...which UI didnt work..(no drink reduction)
Food indicator always starts black unless you eat
after save still black but double food icon
water to has a double icon after save
I dont know what file you removed to get it to work after a save..i removed "fn_respawn" on 2 tests but UI still didnt work

Edit- I think when you've crack this problem another mod/mission on here will work as it to has this problem to

P.S whats happened to fedus_87..?...hope all is well

In order to deactivate the respawn script I removed the OnPlayerKilled, PlayerRespawn and the PlayerKilled files. Not sure, but I think I also removed a piece of code in the init. My UI is working fine; but after reading your post, I dunno if it's due to me deactivating the Respawn script or resuming a save after restarting my computer (I'm not even sure I restarted it before resuming). The fact is : right now I don't have any problems even after saving.

Anyway, I was going to upload the Full AI today (I think it's finally ready), but being a little sick I didn't find time to do it. Will get it done later in the evening or this week-end; sorry folks!

First of all, the thing about restarting your computer and it works, it doesn't make any sense at all.  To me anyway.


I think it's completly unrelated to if you reload or not. Becuase when I played 1.7.5.1 the last time I did, my UI just quit working as I was shooting bandits in Barezihno or w/e. And I've resumed more than once on 1.7.6 and had it working.


Also, the blood thing is a glitch unrelated to the UI (I'm pretty sure). It happens sometimes for me, but rarely.

I think it's easily fixed by just eating meat. And the next time it would work, I think.

And I said before that reloading is in no way connected to the respawn script. It really isn't. :P
It can obviously cause a bug, but I really doubt the respawn script is bugging anything unless you die.

yes i removed "time cycle" ..did'nt do anything to the UI that i could see..But i always remove it now as it sends blips in the treelines as shadows move quicker and puts me off

What i have found out and it works 100% after a SAVE (NOT ON RESPAWN )...is at beginning of game spawn a can of beans....eat it....and you are good to go .....after a save all works fine food and drink go down.

I then let myself die..on respawn i had a broken leg...i healed that..came to bandits ..no crosshairs on gun ..and game wouldnt let me fire gun..no backpack either

my way would be, is if you die revert back to save or restart the game

@Above the answer must be sorting out the start of the mission with showing full maybe??? hope this helps you or gives you some more ideas

In that case, maybe using the "heal yourself" option in the cheat menu when launching a new game would also fix the UI?
If this is the case, I think this problem could actually be easy to fix. Will have a look at it before uploading the Full AI ;)

Also, I'm sure it's not related to the time cycle script; I'm playing without it and my HUD does work fine.

EDIT : I think I've managed to fix the UI glitch; will make a few more tests with the respawn script.

Hey im trying to play the 1.7.6 update but when i try to play SP it says somthing like im missing dayz_code and dayz_weapons and stuff like that ive tried dayz 1.7.6 1.7.6.1 and re-installing both any1 have any ideas whats wrong? also i have latest beta patch

How did you fix the UI glitch? I'm assuming you're talking about the food and drink.

What we can exclude is that re-load messes up the UI, since it works sometimes, and sometimes it doesn't.

My UI did randomly stop working once in 1.7.5.1. But it also worked after reloading a 1.7.6 save.

You'd still have to make the respawn script respawn you as another player. I'm 99% sure the UI is not working because you're an AI.
