The first link is not broken Rich, I downloaded from it yesterday and I just tried again after reading your post and it still works. There is a problem on your end.

When exactly will the forum be moving? Any reason why this one isn't remaining open/ Seems to be doing just fine. And I went to log in today and my credentials didn't exist. I had to redo everything.

Fix:

1.Install Sound of war (SOW) in main folder of A2:OA
2.Edit Shortcut launcher :
  -mod=@BreakingZero;SOWmod
3.Play

I'm just dropping in to say that I'm alive and that I will update this, still.

I've just had some minor problems with my new PC, or in fact. I had problems with Windows 8.

Anyways, I'll work on this project again.

Todo:

Fix action glitches and update every mission.
Add a Panthera and/or Celle mission.

Panthera and Celle are amazing maps and I would so love to see them in the near future. Especially Celle :)

Just one question I've wanted to ask for a while but never registered on the site to do so, Will there ever be a version of this mission/mod for Arma 3.

I noticed that BreakingZero is already in the Arma 3 server list. Ever a chance that there will be a version of DaiZy BreakingZero for Arma 3 ?
Come to think of it I believe it's BreakingPoint on the server list, not BreakingZero... I think.

I'm in no rush, I am just asking as am completely in love with, Altis :)

Thanks for many hours of fun, Above. Love this mission/mod.

Peace.

Hello, and welcome to the forums! Yes, there is indeed a Breaking Point mod for ArmA 3. However I wont be using that, not only because I can't, but also in respect to Deathlyrage (the creator). He spent alot of time, and he wasn't happy about people ripping his ArmA 2 mod. So I would have to make my own mod, wich took 5 months for him, and he got abit more experience and skill than me.

However, I will be making a singleplayer for DayZ standalone. I'm currently just waiting for some more weapons and stuff before I start to HC-work with it. (Will most likely work on pirated versions).

*EDIT: I would mess more with ArmA 3 and this mod in general, but it has a few glitches, or at least 1 fairly big. And the RAM on my new PC seems to be unstable/broken. So I can't even install ArmA 3 to mess around with it. I was lucky enough to get to install BF3-4 and DayZ mod + standalone, though.

Hi Above! nice to meet you :D

First off, on behalf of all the people that use your mod, thank you very very much for your obvious passion into making this mod.  My hat off to you good sir.

Secondly, oh GOD yes!!! please please please pleasex10000000 make an offline/single player version of DayZ standalone.  Currently, it does have very few things compared to the Arma 2 version of DayZ, but it does have a different feel to Arma 2: DayZ.  I think I speak for alot of people when I ask you to PLEASE make a single player version of standalone DayZ.

Last but not least... I've tried to install the BreakingZero version of Chernarus/Podagors installing the Google drive version (which ends up telling me some files are corrupted, then a file or two end up missing after installing the SoW mod and update) and the Mega upload version just stops at 34% and never continues downloading.  I have installed BreakingZero Taviana and its working like a charm, so I don't think im doing any mistakes in the install process on my part.  Any ideas?  I R a sad panda I can't play BreakingZero Chernarus ;;

Again, thank you so much for masterfully piecing BreakingZero together, it really is amazing!  DayZ standalone offline GOOOO!!!!!!! /drool

The problem with DayZ:SA is that the single player would have to be Hardcoded into the game unlike arma's Addon system(DayZ:SA does not have modding support for the moment) so, people would need to use a crack that disables connection to the internet for the game because the servers are connected to steams protection service and you will be permanently banned for editing the game code. Most likely it would be more of a pain to mod the game now than wait a few months for the modding support.

Is SoW mod J.S.R.S. Soundmod?  If not that I'm blind to see where that mod is...  Because I'm also getting that freaky arm stretchy thing lol.

About the corrupt files after download, does this happen to other files you download? I had the same problem on my new PC, I had to get addons from different places.

However, the reason I had corrupt files was because 1 of my RAM sticks were faulty. I had no problems with corrupt files on my old PC.

I suggest doing a memtest just in case, unless every other download is working fine. Or try the MEGA link (might restart the download a few times until it works).

All though, they already had a singleplayer in the pre-alpha leak. I can't see why they would bother removing it, if not, it shouldn't be hard at all. After all, they've just added addons to ToH.

ToH is great fun for when you want realistic helicopter sim. I wonder if they will add the engine start up procedure, rpm/torque levels etc to standalone. If so it will stop people being able to start up and fly at max speed in 30 seconds. Start up alone can take 1 min, but then take off is relatively slow and you cant fly max speed without risking damaging the engine, same with taking off quickly: add too much torque and you destroy the helicopter.

Start-up procedures and airframe stress would be nice but for novice players it would be a steep learning curve.

I agree, I can only imagine how many posts would be on the DayZ forums complaining that its too hard. "I shouldn't have to turn the battery on!" or "i cant believe we have to sit at 15% rpm warming the engine up first!" I think to make it simpler for people they should make a 'stripped down' version of the start up procedure such as: battery on, fuel pump on, start engine. Also make it reverse for shut down.

The airframe/engine damage at high rpm/torque is good, but it would receive so many complaints. So maybe they could remove that. that way all they have to do is add the start up/shutdown procedure to the current ArmA 2 flight model.

I'm all for realism, after all it's meant to be a zombie apocolypse sim.
