Damn... I've just noticed that AI gunshots give away the player's position to zombies, wich makes them quite a pain.
I'm going to upload new mission files without that feature - sorry for the inconvenience!

aha well i didnt have much problems with that but okay. btw i notice that i have never had any use ofr painkiller or morphine. only time i broke my leg was when i suicided and jumped down 50m or so.

btw, I might be able to make the zeds actually chase NPC's - if so I'll upload a hotfix this week-end ;)

Thanks dude! I've tweaked the dayz_code and I think I have something working.
I'm going to test it right now ;)

EDIT : I just spend half an hour watching zombies running towards my units in the middle of Cherno. Not a single one noticed me, except when I fired my weapon - I'd say it works fine ;)

Its a nice idea, but keep in mind the Arma AI will not be able to handle melee attacks very well.
The AI performs really poorly in 5 meter close combat shooting.

Maybe just the zombie reaction to AI gunfire without the chasing would be enough.

yeah... yeah, we should actually make them appear with even more random weapons and items and make them more DayZ player like and as you know its a hell lot of different survivors out there with different gear.

For some reason the fix doesn't work on bandits ;<
I'm re-uploading new mission files (I feel a bit bad) : I made it so Zombies only react to survivors gunshots.
Hopefully it should work fine this way - tell me guys if it doesn't, I'll remove it ASAP and keep it for later.

EDIT : It doesn't work like intended... I'm removing it for now (I feel very bad) :/

I'm pretty sure it's doable though : I had Zeds chasing NPC most of the time. Problems seem to occur once you are a bit far from the gunshots : it looks like zeds will run toward the closest target available, regardless who actually shot the gunfires.
Might do more research this week-end ;)

Hi Haleks,

I just did a couple of 2-3 hour play tests with 1.5 and have yet to find a repairable land vehicle (found several fixable helicopters) or any helo crash sites. I don't know if my install is messed up or if they are very rare. Are there any sure fire locations to test if they are spawning properly?
I love this mod and what you have done so far and appreciate that you are constantly trying to improve it. One small request would be to put the fly buzzing sound in for AI corpses so it is easier to find dead bandit or survivors in a field and loot them.
I tried this mod with and with-out the COWARMOD lite and noticed that most of the "AI enhancements" in COWARMOD are not loaded by default. Are there certain ones you would recommend that would improve bandit and survivor behavior without breaking what you have already programed them to do?

PS. I will start a new game and try 1.6 this week-end.
