A Building mod for this would be awesome, it would be cool to have a little base set up to store stuff and protect from zombies

Wow, what a mod. It's utterly brilliant! Super stable and if you are using the 103718 beta patch everything works fantastically. Great work Haleks!
I'm having a small problem filling jerry cans up - are the tanks I check empty? I see that a issue was fixed in 1.4 and I have downloaded the latest (using the walking zeds version). Anyone else having a problem? Thank you. |

.
It is just a little finnicky at times, have to get it just right on the cursor. Is anyone else noticing zombies that can phaze right through wire fencing kits? |
As i know....that's an original Dayz glitch, even Rocket couldn't fix it. |

Just curious, but when you go to upload the files, how big a file is it showing the zip to be? Still having the issue with Mediafire where it says the download will be around 234mb, yet the actual download is still showing 222mb.

Hey, thanks Rusty_Shackleford! :) Treated re-fueling like opening a door (when the 'open' icon won't show) and turned to either the left or right (parallel to the tank) and sure enough, got the fill option. Thanks for the tip! For comparison, the 2018.zip file I downloaded: 234Mb 245,658,629 bytes 245,661.696 bytes on disk |

The zip is 234 mb indeed. Have you tried with another browser? |
|
I'm using Chrome, but I'll see what I can do with FF or (*dread*) IE.

Alright, gave her a shot with both FF and IE, and they're both now saying that the file is 221mb.
Could this be a Mediafire issue? I've deleted cookies, temp. files, etc. This one is really a head-scratcher. |
|
I have no idea :(
I just tried myself and it does say 234mb with Firefox. How big is the file once downloaded? |
|
I'll try slapping my computer around a bit, throw it out the window a couple of times and then let the dog chew the insides out and see if it'll work then.
I was thinking it was a bad link for a moment, but then, if that were the case, it probably wouldn't be showing 234mb to download. The link on the first page is still the right one, yes? |
yup. I'll try to upload it somewhere else if you can't sort it out. ;) |
|
I'll let you know if I can't here in an hour or so. Going to try a few other tricks. Gonna see if it may be an antivirus issue, DNS issue, etc. I'ma just try everything that I haven't yet before we resort to you having to upload it elsewhere.
Thanks for the quick responses though, mate! |
|
To answer your question about how big the file is after it has downloaded, it sits at 221mb.
![]() I've never had this issue before. Any other mod I've downloaded from the site has been fine. Not sure at all what's going on here. |
|
Sigh. I've tried everything I can think of up to this point. I'd hate to have to ask you to upload to another site, but that may be what it takes. Could I get you to post a direct link to the file in your next response, as a last-ditch attempt to see if maybe I'm getting the wrong link somehow?
Sorry for bugging you with all this, boss. But, you've pretty much cooked up a batch of meth here, and I'm an addict. .. to the mod, not real meth. |
|
C-Buck, that is the same link we all use 2018 . I use chrome as you do. Do you use any downloader like Idman or any similar ? cause sometimes those apps become crazy, so you go ahead and remove or disable any downloader, than remove any other 2018 package you downloaded before, the computter might get confused with multiple files with the same name ! it happens for me from time to time :p

mp5lng, I appreciate your feedback and attempt to help resolve my issue, as well as the link. As far as I know, I don't have any download managers. None that I have installed myself, and none that may have installed as malware/on their own. Are there any in Chrome that I should be aware of? I've looked through my extensions, cleared out my browsing/download/search cache and deleted every 2018 file I could find.
I've got this weird feeling that the issue is just right under my nose, and it's something seriously silly-stupid that I'm forgetting to do or check. |

can somebody help me please? i followed all the directions correctly and added the target line, but when i launch the shortcut it takes me to the game and the only options are Multiplayer, expansions, and exit. Theres no single player. When i click multiplayer it takes me to servers. what can i do to fix it?

taylormiller43, do you have the latest OA Beta Patch? And was your game installed in the correct order before hand? Did you also start each game individually after each separate install? (I.E., install ArmA II, start the game for a second, exit, install ArmA II: OA, start the game and exit, then install beta patch?) That's how I fixed the same issue when I ran into it.
Also, I tried downloading the mod with my laptop. Same issue. 234mb file turns into 222mb file while downloading from two computers now. Tried beating my head against the desk for a few minutes to see if something would give - no joy. |

Hello Haleks,
I've been a couple of days testing the latest update and everything works perfect. Congratulations.
It is possible to make a version or optionnal mission file with only a limited respawn requiring having to explore the entire map to stay alive. For example with these three characteristics: - Normal Respawn: Zombies, bandits and bandages (antibiotics, analgesic, morphine, ...) (every time you go into town or village) - Respawn limited to 1 time: cans, animals, weapons and ammunition, etc. (when you take the lot will never again look more at that site) - Start the game with an added canteen. regards |
