Bandits are very easy to tackle due to the nature of their town... They could be twice as much and it would not make any difference. Don't want to spoil anything but let me know if you need hints.

Maybe someone got an idea. The post-apocalypse-units Mod, causes problems for me.
That means, without the Mod, my Plane fly's normal but i have invinsible Zombie's. With the Mod, i see all Zombie's but my plane crashes in to the water in the first 5 seconds as soon as i restart the Mission. I make sound when i walk / run but when i shoot, Zombie's dont care. But when a Bandit shoot, Zombie's got attracted by him. EDIT: With the Mod, my Charackter is invinsible. |
IHDI, you said in the Help section that you're using the latest beta patch. But have you tried the recommended one? It's not impossible that using a patch higher than 103.718 would cause some issues.

Hey Haleks. Thanks for your answer. I tried the recommended BETA Patch as you said.
Changes: Without post-apocalypse-units: Everything works fine. Zombies aren't invinsible anymore and they attack me and the AI. With post-apocalypse-units: I instant die as soon as i restart, because my Plane is upside down. My Character is still invinsible. So the PAU-Mod causes the problem for me. But that's weird though, I don't think I ever heard of anyone having troubles with the PAU. |
After pumping a good 10-15 hrs into this ...I have to say the find ratio for food, supplies is well balanced. Not too hard not too easy. Makes you push your initiative by hunting and 'surviving' more.
Lost my first female survivor, she was a good soldier but died in vain finding me a box of matches...

I agree. Ghouls, bandits, zeds, ammo, hunting for food, water, cold... 2018 is a perfect challenge to survive. And this is my new best friend: |
Excellent distance tool - I could of done with that few years ago! Just a report, tried to arm a Bear Trap - nothing. Tried to pick it up - no joy. Anyone else experience the same? Could be a one off.

OK, no probs Haleks. Can survive without for now ;)
Did notice another thing, when I was with my new gun-ho survivor in one of the army camps, the weapons/items continuously spawned inside the soldiers tents (whilst on-site, every 5 mins or so approx). It was nice for a while as I filled up my two tents with bucket loads of guns 'n' loot but then it became silly when it didn't stop spawing :/ Any ideas?

Hello, I'm all set up, got my backpack extra water/food, ammo etc. I found some vehicles, that I cannot repair. Yes I have a toolbox and yes I have a tire. But no option to repair a clearly busted vehicle. Not sure what this means but any help I would appreciate.
My second conundrum is, after i open the journal (crafting) it goes away and I cant seem to get the scroll list anymore. Thank You |
The Actions script tends to slow down over time : try to keep your crosshair on the vehicle for 5 seconds (maybe more, depending on your rig) and the option should pop up.
As for the journal, I didn't experienced this myself; I'll have to try and reproduce it before I can fix it. @MrThirsty : that would be a bug. >_< |

OK thanks ^_^ Anyone else having trouble changing Skins via the 0,0, change skin option? It gives me a grey screen which I can't exit. Pretty sure I have all the required files (including CBA & RMod)

I was wondering if it was possible to have a separate mission file that limits the type of weapons even further for the 2018 mod? Maybe remove all automatic weapons and high-end military loot, including military gear from survivors and bandits? Something closer to the original 2017 mod, with simple side arms and shotguns, and bolt-action rifles like Lee Enfield and CZ 500 at the upper limit. And a few more roaming bandits (with simple weapons) would suit this type of mission. Just putting it out there! |

@Steve : That would also require a new dayz code with a different loot table - but I'll keep this in mind.
I just don't have much time for 2018 right now : I'm working on polishing a future release for Arma 3 - and plenty of people are still waiting for Factions 3.0.3! ^^' |

Haleks, 2018 IS Factions but BETTER! Slightly different spin yes but just adds to it in every single way IMO :D I mean I've been a Factions fan since you started but 2018 just seems to be a fuller, rounder more juicy version with the greatness of Factions element. Why work on both and not digress fully into pushing 2018 ;) Yes I'm biased! And btw, have you ever tested (or recommended) this A.I mod instead of perhaps rmod2 combined with your mods? http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=12105
