Call me impatient, but I'm having rotten luck with the loot spawns. :)
Is there some way to force loot to respawn?  I tried sleeping in a tent but it didn't seem to make a difference when I went back to buildings I had already searched there was nothing new.  Is there a specific distance I have to walk away before it cycles the loot script?  

I think I may have to try tweaking the loot a bit and restart because it's getting a bit frustrating walking around for hours on end and not being able to complete the missions because I still can't find a map, GPS or parts to repair a vehicle.

I get a bit of lag on occasion, especially in Cherno, but I don't use that sixplayer thingy.  I'm just running the beta launcher with the @DoS in the launch parameters similar to how I launch the other Daizy mods.

I don't think the loot respawns in this mod and that is both a good thing and a bad thing. It is good for realism as loot clearing a building and coming back to it 15 mins later to magically find new items is boring. It also forces you to go to different locations all over the map which activates new quest objectives.
I do think the spawn rates of key items (map, matches, car parts etc...) should be increased because it can get frustrating searching for hours for a particular item.

Ok, working on a next release and first thing I will update loot spawn chance for those items.
How loot works is that is generated at game start for the entire map and then from time to time (once at 8 hours or so) a script refills some of the loot at random with much lower chance of any single item to appear than at first generation (basically giving you reasons to revisit a location but not from 10 to 10 minutes). Howere resources are limited and don't rely you will be able to survive with what gets generated it is just very little chance something new is there. I will not change this since I don't want people to just stay in a location and then just get back to the same airfield untill they find a better weapon, or at least not doing that constantly, but move on the map and have reasons to hunt or go fishing. I'm also looking at removing some of the loot as time goes by, but that is a bit more difficult tehcnically.
 Anyway just wanted to make a more realistical experience and give you a bit of hard time searching for stuff and limited resources, otherwise if you find all things you need in first 10 mins it gets boring after a while and it's not survival anymore :)
Actually loot was spawning with higher probability, but I constantly lowered that till present values since beeing on the edge of starvation or not having any ideea where you are in the middle of the night is one of thrills of the game, however I agree stuff like maps and parts should be generated more oftenly (you find those in real life as well).
In one game I had a bike and arrived to a village at dusk and left the bike at the entrance on the street. After looting night was closing and I wanted to take the bike and go to next town before it was pitch dark. I honestly tell you I searched that bike for an hour and could not find it, then I strarted to get hungry and had to hunt in pitch black night (I was lucky with a rabbit I saw while searching for the bike that I could shoot and gather meat). Then made a fire, cooked some meet, got shot, ate the whole meet and morning came just in time when my blood was getting low again. Now with light I found my stupid bike exactly where I left it, just that I was searching it in the wrong place all along (two roads looking very similarly).

I will look in the dead in the water problem as well.

P.S. here's a challenge that is not in the quests, who ever manages to capture one of those helicopters from opfor survivals that fly around (not the ones in one of the quests) in working order please post here. It's possible techically, just that is not that easy.

Sounds good. Do fishing poles spawn at particular places (like on the coast) or are they part of the general loot?

PS. the generator repair bug after save/resume effects all generators not just one.

I think you could leave the loot as is if you just started the player with a map.  I played another 4 hours last night and still no map or gps but I finally found a working motorcycle. :)

Hey Man awesome stuff, played a couple hours, however when I go and try to load a saved game I get this "deleted.ace_sys_attachments" Any idea whats causing this or what I need to do to fix?

Hi! I think you might be using, or have used ACE mod in command line when saving. I don't believe it's much you can do for this save (besides adding ACE back to command line), but next time try running the game only with Day of Survival mod.

Hey i just tried to play this in LAN, and the person that is not hosting gets horrible fps, first i tried to host and my friend got bad fps, then my friend hosted and i got bad fps!, please help i would love to play this mod with a friend it is awesome!!

*Bug Report Arma 2 version with @CBA_CO;@RHweapons*


When changing skin (Camo Clothing), I lose "SurvivalIntel" in the map screen and also lose control of my AI companion.

I get "No entry bin\config.bin/CFGweapons.U_B_GhillieSuit" when trying to craft it.

When untying multiple prisoners at campfires, the first one will shoot and kill the second one as I untie him (I think there is a script delay before the untied prisoner joins the players group).

On the "power to the people" quest, If I repair a generator (and it states 10 remaining to fix) and save game, then revert/resume, I am able to repair that same generator again and it will say 9 remaining to fix.

I have gotten the "informant car" intel twice. With 2 Listings in "tasks" showing the location of the car in 2 different places.

When fishing at the coast (can't fish at lake "Prud"), message states I have raw trout but nothing appears in inventory.


PS. After starting a new game, I am now able to swim without dying, I don't know what triggered it during my first run.

Thanks for the bug reports!

Generator wise: in a location there can be multiple generators some very close that the message might seem to appear to be from same generator when it's actually for the one next to it. Its possible that it's this situation, however I need to check.



For the LAN issue reported above, is anyone experiencing similar issue, what version are you using A3 or A2? I'm very low on time these days, but as soon as I get some time to work I will make an online session and test.

Hi Alegri,

It happens at single and multiple generator locations both on my first and second play through but only after resuming a save game. I have been wanting to try a LAN game but my son's computer died!

This mod is awesome and a welcoming change from the usual zombie mode SP.
I have tested it a couple of hours and i like it alot, although i have noticed a game breaking bug.
Or atleast i think its a bug, it could be me noobing :P

Whenever i run into berenzino my temperature just keeps on rising until it hits 42 and then i die...
My hunger and thirst are just fine and i am not bleeding, anyone else noticed this?

Anyways, keep up the good woork and i am looking forward to updates on this mod :)

Hi, I don't think it is a bug. When temp gets above 40 or below 30ish, you will start to lose blood slowly.
Each time you drink something, your temp drops by 1. I usually find a canteen and a water source & drink 5 or 6 times in a row to bring my temp down. Heat pack or campfire will raise temp if it drops too low.

I changed into a ghillie suit once and then found out a bit later that my actions were broken.  I couldn't use heatpacks, bandages, water bottles, pop, food, etc... the options didn't appear in the action menu.  I restored to a save just before changing to the ghillie and recreated the problem to test and sure enough right after changing to the ghillie the actions were no longer available.  

Not sure if it's a bug but when I swam to an island I lost my primary weapon, my backpack and I think I also lost everything from my inventory except my pistol and the stuff in the pistol ammo slots.  Kind of realistic actually as I swam quite a ways out and it probably wouldn't be possible with a backpack and rifle in real life. :)

Loving the missions, my only major complaints are the inability to pack a second weapon on my back and the matches and knives taking up inventory slots rather than moving to the toolbelt.
