I already make 16 missions. It'll be 1 of them. I guess a trader city is the ideal here. Not only because not every one wants to find the traders. But also because let's say it was in real life, if there was traders, they would most likely have a set locations, to get customers. |
Above, did you by any chance included the new weapons from 1.7.7 origins to the Taviana file?

Yeah a trader city would be more popular. Have you got skype? I wanna send you drafts of the pricelist later.

Nope, I'm not sure if I'm going to either. First of all, the arrows will most likely not work on AI, secondly it will make this more of an Origins release than BreakingZero, all though it already is, kind of. I'll see if I can test the weapons, and based on the results, I'll add them to the loot table. But they will only spawn @ Sector B. :D |

While I'm very much enjoying the new Tavaina, adding something to it that will make it feel like it's actually 'living' more is probably going to be very hard to accomplish. There's been many times when I've thought to myself though, all this needs now is multiplayer... So I wondered...how would having some sort of additional (and well organised) force go down with you and everyone else? They could have their own bases, their own vehicles and uniforms that aren't in use with anything else and have organised four man patrols for example. You could then employ missions against them - some easier if you're on your own and some more difficult if you've got a team with you possibly. I also thought it would be good to have a zombie free area centring on any base you created (or any pre made base, castle or building you took over), as if to signify that you've cleared all of the zombies out when you built it or moved in. The reason for it being that there'd be no reason for fresh zombies to magically reappear inside of your base or house at all after you'd cleared in out once. This way you could have a base anywhere within reason. |

Exacly! This is a really good idea. I've been thinking/started a side mission function before. I just never finished it or kept going. But then again, even that would get old. I want the Sarge AI or whatever, that can raid your camp and vehicles. I don't remember getting it to work, though. This is partly true, all though zombies would eventually re-appear outside your base. Having a zone without zombies, though, is hard because they're connected to buildings. And the easiest way to set respawntimers on zeds would affect all of them. |

Thanks - it seems we're on the same wavelength. Hopefully others, with a bit more knowledge than me can offer up some suggestions on this whole, 'making it feel more alive' thing.
Re zombie free bases - yeah, I didn't think it would be easy at all. As a side note, there's some great looking places for bases on the eastern most island of Tavaina now (the one surrounded by icebergs) and the weeds coming from the sidewarks/pavements really adds to the place. I'm off to do some more exploring... |

You're probably installing it as you should. However you do need to copy the addons folder from your ArmA 2 directory, and paste it in your ArmA OA directory. Steam has a fix that does this for you, nowadays. Therefor, singleplayer still requires it. I hope this helps. |

Just wait and it should let you spawn. It should only take a second, but depending on your system it might take longer. |
Thank you for the reply Above. After i wait a few minutes this is as far as it gets(Pic Below). The cheat menu does also not work. I can spin around/Open Inventory. But cannot move for some reason. Not sure if its worth noting but i also spawn in the boonies ):

as for the arrows, well we both come to an understanding on that, ditch both Tranq and Epi Bolts, I mean we all know the damn Taser Gun don't do shit on both AI or Zeds on earlier releases (I mean come on 2 taser to the head and nothing on an AI), what I meant on the new weapons on Origins is pretty much just the xbow Steel bolt, shotty and the new skinned kalash, they pretty much work as those regular ones so we'd have more new guns to play with, and lets face it, the MOMENT you placed Sector B and Origin only Vehicles on the taviana map, you pretty much made it a hybrid of Origins-Epoch-BreakingPoint with that much said I see no harm on putting a few new weapons on the MOD unless ofcourse its something about that infringement rights again that you mentioned on the other thread, then again it's still up to you to decide on what you think is best ofcourse <3. |
The Website is almost done, i'm just waiting for the forum software to update.

I don't know what that CBA error message means in the bottom left of your pic - are you using the CBA_CO_BETA addon, which the ArmA2 beta uses? |

Their copyright (depending on how serious it actually is) wouldn't be a problem. Because Taviana/the Origins map are probably the most copyrighted things I can use. As for the xbows, the release not being Origins wasn't my main concern. But if the tranq arrows etc don't work, I fail to see the point (I forgot about the AK at the time). But chances are they actually work now that I think of it. The taser once did on both AI and zombies (and actually worked properly). I'll run some tests. HOWEVER, I will do everything I can to make Sector B important until I set up some AI there. One more thing, the xbow from Aftermath is WAY doper, I don't remember it perfectly, but I think it looked pretty much like Daryls (from The Walking Dead) crossbow. Anyway, I'll look into this soon. |

This is what sometimes happens, it takes me a couple of seconds for me. And then I get to pick a gender. Again, this might take longer depending on systems. I'll take a look, just in case something actually messed up . *EDIT: Ignore what I just said, I didn't see the error at first. Are you using the CBA addons that comes with the mod? If not, then you should. Also, I'm assuming you've already played DayZ, and got ArmA OA? |
