It really IS a deal breaker for me.  The wilderness is for PVP and bases, the city is for zombies and loot.  The forest spawns make so that you're just fucked everywhere.  Except in the forests there aren't any rewards with the risks...

If you look at the mission file in the editor, the entire north western & north central wooded areas are zed free (north of Petrovka). Plenty of spots to build bases without hassle.
I know everyone has their own play style but I like the danger of having zeds in the woods. It is more realistic that some would wander from the cities and adds a little more challenge to the game.
Also, there are now some rewards in the woods in the form of random tent spawns (thanks Haleks!) that may or may not contain loot.

Exactly why it'd be an optional mission, just as the no AI versions are.
And the northern plains of nothingness are considerably... out of the way to say the least.

So I updated to 2.6.1 and started over but I don't get the single player option at the main menu. Its not there. I read in the forums that the wrong Dayz_code.pbo could be the issue? So I've checked and double checked that I've installed correctly with your files. I haven't had this issue before. Any idea what else could be causing it?

I started using the Multiplayer Dayz_code.pbo to play LAN and found that none of the zombies were spawning or loot, I tried single player (With Same Dayz_code) as well and the zombies or loot still weren't spawning

You might be using an outdated beta patch : I've launched a new game using only the files I uploaded and everything works just fine.

I dunno what to say, except double check your @modfolder name and your shortcut directory.
I didn't modify the dayz_code, it is the same than 2.5 so you might be doing something wrong.

I just reverted back to 2.5 and the single player option was there. That was just copy paste work so I know the modfolder name is good. I'm redownloading the 2.6.1 files and try again. I think there was a problem with the latest download.

First off, calm down, man. There's no need to yell. Contrary to popular belief, CAPS LOCK is **NOT** cruise control for "cool".
Secondly, it's very easy to add those vehicles into the spawn vehicles cheat. You just have to have to classnames.

EDIT: Also, you can spawn in any and all vehicles with Loki's Lost Key.

I don't understand it. I wish I could go back and not post until I troubleshot the issue. For some reason now the option is there after updating!!!! Frustrating!!!!!......Thats what you get when you put more cowbell into it though. Hobo Panda is a very wise weirdo.

How can I get R3F to work with factions??
