RELEASE: DaiZy Customized 1.2 [Discontinued] - Handcuff your enemies! - Based on Haleks' release!

Features in this CUSTOM release:

• New AI Spawn System - They can spawn everywhere. Even in an Empty field, be careful!


• Edited loot table - Find new weapons! Now you are able to find Weapons like the VSS Vintorez or the PKP
                           (There are more!)

• Handcuff Victims - You are able to apply handcuffs to AI's. You can acces their gear and drag them
                            wherever you want and release them again!

All features made by Haleks - This release is based on Haleks' release, so it has all features

Additional features:

• Demonized's Clean up script included.
   It will handle the deletion of dead bodies.

• The GLT OPA Backpacks for All mod by Legislator is included in the Addons folder : no need of rMod.

• Xyberviri's Factions script : AI will react to zombies.

• Krixes Self Bloodbag script is included.

• Daimyo's Building Script.

• Utilities menu to change the player' skin or face (press '0' twice).

 Changelog:

• Different versions: Walking Zeds
                            Car patrols
                            Car patrols with walking Zeds
                            regular one.

• More different cars (without gunners at the moment)!

• New Helicopters / Planes (AN2, MV22, AH6J and the MI17)!

• Customized map (since 2.9.1)!

• Custom Loadout (Start with a M9SD with 2 Magazines and something to eat and drink)

• Cars will spawn more often

• There can be up to 4 AI's in the same vehicle (be careful!)

• AI's will only have 3 sidearm mags instead of 7

 Instructions:

First of all, don't forget to update your Arma 2 OA to the Latest beta patch!

1. Download DayZ 1.8.0.3 using DayZ Commander.
2. Download the DaiZy Custom FACTIONS  files.  as of the 17.01.2014 the mission, with the 2.9.1b fix, is not  yet tested.
3. Make a folder called "@DaiZyCustomFACTIONS" in your Arma 2 OA directory; inside, create a folder called "Addons".
4. Add all the DayZ 1.8.0.3 files to the Addons folder inside "@DaiZyCustomFACTIONS".
5. Copy & Paste all the files from the Addons folder of the package you just downloaded into the Addons folder inside @DaiZyCustomFACTIONS (overwrite dayz files).
6. Add one of the mission files to your "mission" folder in your arma 2 OA directory.
7. Don't forget to create a new OA Beta Patch shortcut and add "-mod=@DaiZyCustomFACTIONS" in the target line!

NOTE : If you have an error message about missing content, you might have to copy the Addons folder from Arma 2 into your Operation Arrowhead folder.

 Recommened Mods:
The J.S.R.S Sound Mod: replaces Arma 2 sounds; you can also configure it the way you want (just follow LordJarhead's instructions to remove sound files).
Please note that the following file conflicts with roadflares & other throwable objects sounds : "jsrs_grenade_c.pbo"
(Just remove it if you don't want to jump off the ground everytime you throw a chemlight!)

Zeus AI Mod: Improves the AI Skill and makes them more intelligent. I  Highly  recommend you this mod!

 Known issues:

Do not save & reload while inside a vehicle! The thirst & hunger features currently don't work in vehicles.

• Bandit squads & choppers can't engage each others (they are on the same side).

• Haleks removed pistols from AI units in order to prevent them being stuck when switching Weapons (it's an old Arma 2 glitch wich occurs with spawned units), However, i added them back in.
If you're using the auto-rearm feature from CoWarmod, your units might pick up a secondary weapon when they have the chance.
If you notice that one of your units is unable to move, with a pistol drawn, just open your map, go to the 'units' menu and click on 'gear'.
Make him drop his rifle and he will move again.

Not sure if this is supposed to happen but my game periodically autosaves, very annoying when in the middle of a battle with a bunch of zombies.  I've also noticed that when I have semi auto selected on my AK and then switch to a melee weapon and then back the AK it defaults back to full auto.  More of a nuisance than anything but costs me a couple bullets now and then.  Love the increased weapon spawns though!

Is there some way to rename the details in the mission file so I don't show 2 identical Factions 2.9 missions in the mission selection screen?  I'd like to keep the default factions 2.9 as well as your modified version and it's kind of a pain when they have the same name.

You recommend Zeus_ai. I heard it is the best available ai mod, but it only works, if the mission maker explicitely built in support for it. Did you? I usually use tpwcas+asr_ai...

Updated, it is possible that happened to you because i linked the Ace mod instead the regular one.

1. The save is caused by an autosave which i implemented, it should save the game around every 10 minutes.
If you dont like it, i can disable it, but you have to save manually.

2. This is caused by the Dayz mod, im not able to change it, Sorry mate :/
    I will have a look in there.

3. Im going to rename it, i will keep you all updated.

 As far as i know, you only need the mod enabled everything else, like the skill level, is customized by yourself.

Personally I prefer manual saves to timed saves occuring when I'm in the middle of combat but don't go changing it just for me. :)

Strange about the fire select, when I play other daizy mods my weapon stays in semi auto when swapping to my hatchet and back.


Any chance of getting a walking zed version?  I love the increased ai spawns but all the gunfights with them tends to draw a lot more of those fast moving zombies which doesn't give me much time for looting. :)

im going to post an update of that mission, just the new ai loot script  is very defficult to script, because i have to find out which sleep times are the best.

Im trying to make ai's spawning on their own not in "waves" asit was before.

I will post the update probably tomorrow or on saturday if everything goes well so far.
