This is a single player release based on DayZ 1.7.7.1 and Namalsk Crisis by Sumrak.
Features in this release : - Bandits and recruitable survivors AI. - Respawning Survivor NPC's. - The post-apo units by Icewindo. - NAC patrols. - Random helicrash sites. - Zombies spawning in forests. - Self bloodbag ability. - Base building script. - Patroling Choppers. - Zombies reacting to AI gunshots. - All the changes and fixes from DayZ 1.7.7.1 - The epeen monitor has been replaced by the Journal (press '0' twice). It will constantly keep you updated on your current status : its content will change depending on your gear, or wounds. - All the features from Namalsk should work properly : cold climate, winter clothings, Blowouts and Bloodsuckers. Events take place two years after the Namalsk Crisis : the remnants of the Namalsk Corporation are roaming the abandonned island and will track any intruder. Additional features :
___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ INSTRUCTIONS : First of all, don't forget to update your Arma 2 OA to the latest Beta patch! 1. Download DayZ 1.7.7.1 using DayZ Commander. 2. Go into your Operation Arrowhead folder and rename your @DayZ mod folder into @NamalskFactions. 3. Download and install Namalsk Crisis Update 2.4. (Once done you should have a @NC mod folder in your Operation Arrowhead folder.) 4. Download the Namalsk Factions package. 5. Copy & Paste the content of the Namalsk Factions package you just downloaded into your Operation Arrowhead folder (overwrite if prompted). 6. Don't forget to create a new OA Beta Patch shortcut and add "-mod=@Namalskfactions;@NC" in the target line! NOTE : If you have an error message about missing content, you might have to copy the Addons folder from Arma 2 into your Operation Arrowhead folder. If you guys have some troubles installing it, Astocky made a video tutorial for you! (Big thanks to him!) ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Recommended Mods : - CoWar Mod : The Lite Version is more than enough for DaiZy SP : You'll have a shitload of usefull features such as functionnal supressing fire, better driving skills and so on... It's worth spending some time reading the documentation files if you want to customize DaiZy to your likes. A must have, especially for this release since it greatly enhances AI units skills. NOTE : There's a glitch with the bayonnette knife mod : it spawns NVGs in the player's inventory. List of recommended files : - The J.S.R.S Sound Mod : replaces Arma 2 sounds; you can also configure it the way you want (just follow LordJarhead's instructions to remove sound files). Please note that the following file conflicts with roadflares & other throwable objects sounds : "jsrs_grenade_c.pbo" (Just remove it if you don't want to jump off the ground everytime you throw a chemlight!) - The Community Base Addons are required to run the above mods. Known issues : - Do not save & reload while inside a vehicle! The thirst & hunger features currently don't work in vehicles. - Arma 2 might crash when launching a new game : if you're stuck on the loading screen, quit the game by pressing alt+F4. This will create a new save; just relaunch your game and resume to complete the new game sequence. - I've removed pistols from AI units in order to prevent them being stuck when switching weapons (it's an old Arma 2 glitch wich occurs with spawned units). However, if you're using the auto-rearm feature from CoWarmod, your units might pick up a secondary weapon when they have the chance. If you notice that one of your units is unable to move, with a pistol drawn, just open your map, go to the 'units' menu and click on 'gear'. Make him drop his rifle and he will move again. Having issues with the namalsk crisis update DL. everytime i try to click to download it, it redirects me to armas steam page. I've bought arma combined ops and all that. Could you upload the namalsk update to rapid share?

Yeah looks like something's wrong on Sumrak's website. I've changed the link for Namalsk Crisis : you should be able to download it without any troubles from Armaholic. ;) |

nevermind just missed a step. Will you possibly be uploading opptional files with the cheat menu and spawnable guards? Btw the mod is GREAT!! Thanks to you and the others for all the hard work!!!

Sure! I will do so for the next update; just waiting on some feedbacks and looking for bugs to squash. ;) By the way, I've just noticed that you can't re-combine stanag taped mags for the rusty m16 & m4 - I forgot to add them in the dayz code... :/ |

emm ,this may sound a little stupid,but it is an idea,what about adding jets?,so no longer you can think that if you have a heli you can fly everywhere totally safe,but you should add helicopters with countermeasure flares and take skin off from a body,that feature was cool

Yeah it is quite a big download... Wich is why I won't push up updates too often on this one. I will try to apply the changes and/or fixes on the mission file itself whenever it's possible, so you won't have to download all the addons every time. |

Ok so, I've been testing/playing it a couple of hours and - damn! I just love when everything works fine!
I spawned near that big ass bridge (can't remember the name) where I found an old UAZ (but no toolbox nor wheels to fix it) and a bandit patrolling the road with a rusty M4. First and last shot with my lee enfield, and I had a M4 with four mags; good start. I crossed the bridge - on wich I found a toolbox - and heard some gunshots when arriving on the other side. Since I was unable to see the shooter, I hid in the nearest building, dodging some zeds on the way. Turned out it was a NAC soldier shooting at zombies deeper in the forest. To be 100% honest, he totally killed me the first time, I didn't even see him... Anyway I wasn't in the mood for a "dead is dead" session, so I reverted and quickly took my revenge : the dude had a FN Fal with only one mag. And a bottle of water. I kept my m4. Since I most likely was down south, I decided to go North - sticking to the road (I'm not super familiar with Namalsk Island). After 30 minutes or so walking and looting, I eventually came close to an abandonned industrial site - and found out that another NAC soldier was heading that way. 2 minutes of gunfights; I had the upper ground, but the guy bandaged himself twice. And guess what! a friggin' NAC heli patrol swiftly arrived in the area while I was looting their buddy. I took shelter in the industrial buildings; right now I can hear someone else shooting at the helicopter and it looks like a Blowout (or EVR) is just about to happen! |

Did you give AI the player damage system, so that they're actually bleeding. Or was it the AI addon that gave them the animation? Also, how many DMR shots does it take with the new damagemultiplier line that you're using? :) |
None; I realized that one of the models I use from the NAC army in Namalsk crisis is actually a medic - eventhough I created a new config file for it. It guess it didn't completely overwrite the original one; I think I'll leave it that way : the NAC patrols will be even more dangerous. I don't know how many shots it would take with the DMR, but I had to fire quite some to kill him. By the way! I noticed that the Namalsk buildings aren't spawning any zeds :/ I'll upload a fixed version this night or tomorrow. A patch will be available for those who already downloaded - but you will have to restart a game... |

Same, getting File missions\_cur_sp.namalsk\mission.sqm, line 48: '/Mission/Intel.v1':'.' encountered instead of '=' error when I load the scenario and it closes out.

Namalsk Faction package still hasn't completely downloaded yet. It's been 2 1/2 hours? Its just a little over half way done.
