Not that I can speak for Haleks but it might be best (and the easiest) to follow this mod on the "official" thread on BI Forums here. I believe there has already been fixes for a few minor issues such as the drink and food items.
 
This way, you'll get all the latest updates and news about the mod quicker.

The mod hasn't been updated yet, but yes, there's plenty of fixes and new features incoming! ;)
