Yup, that's your problem right there. You're using a laptop with an average processor.

Although the Core i7-4700MQ is pretty good, it's actually only slightly more powerful than a Core 2 Duo CPU from a desktop machine. Laptops are short of space, which means they can't fit a proper heatsink and fan in there, thus the processors have to run cooler (and therefore slower). So although it's a Core i7 processor based on the latest CPU technology, it's only got the same performance as the processor from a seven year old desktop PC.

Your system just doesn't have the processing power to cope with anything too complicated, so it lags. It's mostly down to the odd way that the ArmA game engine uses system resources. And that's a pity because it's a perfectly good system with a decent graphics card, but the processor performance (that's easily adequate for all the latest games) is what is holding it back.
