Trying to give this a try but due to the mod being on Rabidshare and coming in at 28k/s it'll be over 2.5 hours to download the 218mb file, which on a 80Mb/s fibre connection here in London is utterly ridiculous. How about rehosting it on something like Google docs?

Haha, Rapidshare <3 It's like being on the road behind a car, with a 109 year old dead woman in it, and no way of passing. EDIT: No offence to 109 year old dead women. |

i really want this mod for single player but is there any other way to download it other than rapid share?
|
The download link should be fixed now! |
Yeah the file needs to be hosted on another site. Rapid-share just made it to where free users cannot download files over 200mb. and Namalsk Factions is about 250mb
|
Doh! >_< Guess I'll have a look at google drive or something else then... |
Yes please! I was just trying to download
|
Files are now hosted on mediafire : rapidshare has become worse & worse since their update!

Hi Haleks ! how are you ? i just jumped in and wanted to ask you if you are willing to update this release :D , i miss Namalsk :3 it's been a very long time since i played it last time, so i wanted to ask you if it is possible to make this felease similare to 2018 ! i mean a cmobination between both worlds, 2017 and 1.8 code, the best combination above Namalsk :D is it possible ? I think you are willing to update this release :D so i just wanted to ask. I can wait of course :D
Peace ! |
Well it's not impossible, but it is gonna require quite some work to merge Namalsk with the latest code (not to mention that DayZ Namalsk was quite glitchy).
But right now 2018 & Factions are my priority. |
sure thing ! i just wanted to know how things would be on this release !
meanwhile........Enjoying 2018 ! the only one thing about it is......walkers instead of road runners :D Anyway....Keep up the good work ! |

ER7 RFW in the loot table ?
|
Yeah I think so - it's using the Namalsk loot tables. |
I've been playing this the last few days / weeks. Another great DayZ SP mod. Where to begin....
Namalsk. Pronounced "You're gonna die. Alot" I'm reminded of a line in The Chronicles of Riddick: "If I owned this place and Hell, I'd rent this place out and live in Hell" Features unique "Loot Spawn AI" which knows what you have in your inventory. AI that monitors your progress, knows what you need. And then deliberately, maliciously and with much glee refuses to spawn it. Until you're completely desperate and have given up all hope. And then gives you more of what you already have. Well, ok, perhaps it's not quite like this but it sure feels like it sometimes - well, this is at least my experience with it. If you want a Hardcore Zombie Apocalypse Survival challenge then this is the one for you. Every part of this mod is presents a challenge; temperature, food, water, disease (boil your water!), blowouts and bandits. The start of any DayZ game is challenge: your immediate demands; Food, Water, Weapons. I played the non-cheat mission because I wanted it hard. Some missions I started give me great weapons, food but no water - or variations on this theme. I found that to survive I had to resort to behavior I normally refuse to be a part of: killing other survivors - but they provided much needed resources and my games became much more successful. At the expense of my soul... The single bandit NPCs you encounter are pretty easy to take care of, no real threat there but the NAC patrols are a different affair: They are usually in groups of 4, carry reasonable gear and are good shots and if you are caught out in the open, you're gonna have a bad time. Much easier to deal with when you have good cover or are in an urban environment. Blowouts. It's astonishing the affect they have on game play. I'm yet to get the device which protects me from their effects and so the entire game is based around this cataclysmic event which occurs every 60-90 minutes. I found to be completely protected you had to use very good cover, a room (or building (barracks, fire station)) with closed doors. There are quite a few shipping containers about which can have their doors opened and closed so they might be a good alternative. It does suffer the slow spawn rates of loot, particularly around the city Vorkuta and this does add an extra level of desperation (and frustration) but it's part and parcel of DayZ. |

downloaded and followed your instructions to the T. some zeds spawn but very very minimal.....like maybe 2 or 3 at start, then no more spawn, no loot spawns, no NAC units or bandits spawn. the zeds that do spawn do not move at all unless a weapon is fired. not sure what went wrong.

Hi Haleks,
I guess you're working on other things but just wanted to ask about some of these old SP mods for Arma 2. I've been playing a few of them lately, including Namalsk, and they all seem to suffer from the inevitable player action lag problem, to the point where they stop working altogether. For example, with Namalsk, after playing for a couple of days and saving the game a few times, you no longer get the option to self blood bag, gut animal, fill jerry cans, deploy tents, and so on. Sometimes, you receive a message that seems to relate to the previous attempt, like it's out of step with the current player action. Is it to do with the game's SQL database? i.e. old data should be deleted or updated, but over time just clogs up? Surely triggered events for zombies, survivors, bandits etc can be culled from the database after you leave the area or have dealt with them? Or is it more complicated than that? I really like playing these mods, but they just don't work long enough to set up a base and go raiding for loot. Is anyone else having these problems? Just thought I'd mention it. Edit: I noticed there's a huge amount of empty space in the save file too. And what looks like large chunks of duplicated code. |

Hi Steve
I'm also playing old mods. I played a long game Namalsk and have never seen problems. Only in the big city loot not appear or fail. I think we should wait long time to appear. Everything works fine, car repair, tents (cleared and flat space is needed to mount the tent), etc. I'm using: Arma2 free + OA (No steam version, No dayz Commander) + 1.11 y 1.60 patch respectively + battleye + betapach 103718 after I install: @client 1.7.7.1 + nc_pathfinder4_full (map Namalsk 675 mb rar.) + Factions Namalsk 1.2 (218 mb rar.) Namalsk v1.2 is one of my favorites, and it works great with my old pc. I'm now testing Napf 1.7.7.1 is very good too. Very dificul IA and normal loot. Game without a map to make exploration more interesting, if not become boring. I think all based version 1.7.7.1 or before the 1.7.6.1 are good. 1.7.6.1 seem very easy. Saludos |
