Above has apparently had access to 1.7.7 for some time now and says that SP will work fine.

1.7.7 is terrible... every zombie hit knocks you down (not out just knocks you down) and sone of the loot looks to cartoon like.

You can easily avoid being tackeled, also you might try to shoot them or do it stealthy. I got tackled only when i ran past 4 zombies. Overall I think it is better and a bit more realistic.

good point but it's kinda difficult when you start a kamenka cause of rare loot. i'm sticking to it not giving up

I agree, I like the patch. DayZ has been too easy, for too long.

Most people have quit the mod version because of the hackers and this is why I don't think the ArmA 2 version will have many players left once stand alone is released. This should open the door for DaiyZ to be more openly accepted instead of having to be kept "secret" like it is now. I doubt there is going to be any SP element in the stand alone beyond maybe a quick training/tutorial section like the ArmA 2 Boot Camp & Armory sections we have now, but I could be wrong.
