If I wasn't, don't you think my mod speed wouldn't work for me? .-.
Hell even the file I uploaded shows the .2 zombie speed that I used before I had to uninstall everything today. Literally what ever mod file I want to edit the speed on, I do what I mentioned a comment above, then open the mission mod and it's changed. I can even (try to) make a vid showing the few seconds it takes me to swap out speeds. Another thought, because I realize 90% of players have steam based Arma2's, my Arma2 isn't from Steam. I don't know if that may be part of it or not. |

I just tried to use his file and it wouldn't let me get into the mission. Just restore your old code and edit it using ".2" and it should work.

I'm starting to think that Steam users may have to edit their files differently then, when I downloaded the one I posted I still see .2 >.>

Just make sure you call in there the folder with the altered dayz_code! (I see by reading your previous posts that you have numerous of folders : @daiyz, @dayz, @daizy...) If you've set this correctly - well I'm confused. I have a retail copy of Arma 2 and a Steam version of OA and I don't have any troubles... |

after altering the zombie speed (wich worked) it now show all zombie (near and far from 0m - to as far as it loads the npc's) with a white marker and when you see them it turns red how do you make it go back to normal?
all i changed was the "_agent forceSpeed 6;" \n to "_agent forceSpeed 2;" \n in the fsmName = "DayZ Zombie Agent"; of the dayz_code.pbo |

Doesnt work for me. When I try to run the edited dayz_code.pbo file I get a " expected xxx Bites but only xxx Bites" Error. Please help, and tell me, what dayz_code you edited, like the one in @DaiZy or in , lets say, @BreakingPointSP

Do you mean: Is there a DaiZy version of the slow zombies?

Anybody know how to changue the runing speed animation?
forceSpeed in dayz_code only select between running and walking; forceSpeed up to 2 (like 2.1) means run speed selected and 2 or under 2 means walking speed selected. The thing is changue the running speed. I know it can be changed at dayz.pbo/config.bin you can open config.bin with notepad++ if you transform it into a .cpp file with armaunbin http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=229 Then you have to look for cfgmoveszombie. But i don't know what speed we need to change, I think you can changue the speed of AmovPercMwlkSnonWnonD* or AmovPercMrunSnonWnonD* but im not sure. |

I had a similar problem after modifying the dayz_code.pbo to slow down the zombies, treble checked the changes I made, but the zombie still ran at me.
I made the changes in the following way: I took a copy of the original dayz_code.pbo from the @DayzX folder and pasted it to my desktop, made the changes as described by the OP. I added .bak to the original dayz_code PBO file in my @DayzX folder as I didn't want to overwrite it when I copied the modified dayz_code.pbo back into the @Dayzx folder. It was only after removing the original dayzx_code.pbo (the one I renamed to include .bak) from the @DayZX folder the zombies slowed down, for some reason the game saw the original file and not the modified one. Schoolboy error! |

I've done this with the current original DaiZy by kodabar & it worked.
I then set up DaiZy X and tried to set this up. When I changed it to 2 (I've quintuple [5] checked where I was looking) and go in game. They attack if I walk into them but they don't follow me no matter what. If I walk into them and they hit me the second I run away they go back to loitering. If I switch it back to 10 (the Zed's are a bit different/faster for DaiZy X) then they go back to normal. I noticed someone mentioned something about DaiZy X and I'll keep trying to fix this myself. |
