Editing DayZ code (loot related)

I recently upgrading from DaiyZ to 2018.

The main purpose was for all the fixes and updates but because the mod is about surviving, it's very difficult to find food, if any.

How would I go about changing the loot spawn rates and what spawns?

Any help is appreciated.
